Why does it take Vape Shops so long to ship in the USA? And why don't they offer more ways to ship? And options for me to use my own UPS, FEDX acct's. If we took this kind of time to ship at my place of work I would not have customers.

I get that a lot of vendors ship in big ol' batches either for the day, or every couple of days etc. They do that because they can - people buying online are buying for the price and often okay with a little longer wait to get their gear. It's how things are done in the industry, I'm guessing, and no one really complains all that much.

That being said, I've worked in a place that dealt with a lot of email orders for small items in stock rooms (think automotive), and I tell you what, things were boxed and filled minutes after orders came in, those items were in the USPS's hands within hours, tops. Multiple trips to the post office and pick ups, depending on carriers. Different industries, automotive parts a little more pressing on time than a new dripper or some drip tips - obviously.

So, yeah, it's possible - just not business as usual, maybe. I dunno, I'm pretty lax with my online orders. As long as it ends up at my door step, and it didn't take two weeks (except from FT) - I'm happy, I guess.

Where I work orders are out the door! And we will ship it any darn way the customer wants it shipped. I work for a manufacture's rep in the Boiler, Chiller, Pump and Control Industry at the regional level. But sell nation wide. Now that we have two vape shops in this little welfare dumb-o-crat town I live in, maybe there will be some competition and I wont have to purchase online. I have over $300 in orders out there between 3 venders and they seem to pride themselves on moving like frozen motor oil.

i hate waiting :/ But that's the nature of the beast with online sales and questionable vendors.

My last order took only 3 days. :) I've had some take up to 10.

You can always order by phone, and have it shipped any way you want. If they're a decent business. But you're going to pay a premium.

My guess is that for these vendors to afford to ship quicker, they would either need to bring the price point up or get the volume up. It's always cheaper to do shipping runs in bulk than it is item by item. It costs just as much in time/money to run one package as it does 100, you know? You have to consider manpower. A lot of these vape shop operations are held together by a handful of people with many other tasks to complete throughout their days. To get a faster turnaround, they have to pay more people, which can be a real challenge for a new and growing business.

I dunno, when I buy something for cheap on the internet, I tend not to expect the best turnaround. Fast turnarounds cost money, too. There's a reason why only some of the biggest vendors have same-day turnaround. Reason being that they regularly max out on what they can transport for the money... ...while the little guys paying similar costs will have to wait until completed orders pile up in order to not take a hit in profits. Depending on what you're selling and how much you can move, these are decisions you have to weigh carefully in order to run a successful operation. The cost of attentiveness adds up over time. Faster is always costlier

And here come the drones... I see a lot of chatter concerning delivery of packages via drones, but I wonder how much better / faster it would really be. I highly doubt a drone could make the trek across country, but I could imagine drone delivery from a distribution center or hub to your front doorstep. After all is said and done, I believe the bulk of package transport will still be accomplished via planes, trains, and trucks.

Another innovation about to be hit with license and regulation, Drones. lol

Amazon has to be losing their minds over that.

Drones wont work here. Us redneck okies will use them for bird hunting practice. Yell Pull, Boom and watch the plastic fly and the package drop! My drones are nano sized that I fly in my office. But there not even safe from glue stick bullet, only primer loaded 45acp rounds. Pop Shatter,,,,, funny as hell. LMFAO

I would have ordered the stuff UPS Red or FEDX Overnight if these three shops had real service. So far I have one tracking number from one vendor and it's not in transit yet, Nothing from the other two so far just confirmation they dinged my cards. So it's looking like three shops will never get another buck from me,,,, next! To be fare, I was warned by friends vape suppliers are kind of janky and not near as professinol as other vendors I work with or as good as my employer is with getting stuff out. Digging around there websites they do profess to being slow as frozen motor oil concerning there lead times. But man do they get the cash fast. Almost instantly all three dinged my card in under 30 sec. :) Please understand,,, I'm not mad. And knew it was going to be slow going. I'm just bored to death setting here at the house. I get to go back to work Feb. 1st got my medical release today from my surgeon. Hell I've already rebuilt and upgraded both of my desktop computers. Cleaned all my guns three times. Loaded up over 5k rounds of ammo at my reloading bench. Bored

They are fast shippers dude, that's my go to store... I really think they are the only VAPE store that will survive the pending regulations... IMO

You didn't hear about the pending regs? All VAPE shops that started after 2007 will have to comply with the FDA pending proposals, or SHUT DOWN... FDA said they wanna protect the FUTURE... Motherfuckers are seeing a trend, kids now a days skip smoking, they want TO vape, and ITS happening nationwide..CALIFORNIA cigs sales are down for the last 3 years and they not happy

ej1024 >> Nice juice haul. Juice is the next thing to be addressed. I wont be buying vape shop and online juice much longer.

After a 3 day lead on two of my orders and the delay of USPS to get tracking data up. I will get one order today, One tomorrow. Coil Master and FEDX screwed up my third. I might have that order in eight days. I had no idea you could ship something that slow from NJ to OK.
