Well i received the Arctic V8, and this is what the Turbo tank should have been, but nevertheless i am loving this thing. It came with 2 coils, a quad clapton coil called the V4 @ .2 ohms ( 60 - 150watts) and also came with a V2 vertical dual coil which i believe is kanthal @ 40-60 watts. I put the quad clapton coil in and broke the coil in and once you get primed a little at go to 90 watts this thing is AWESOME, i havnt passed 90 yet but i will be experimenting. The flavor is good, and to me at 90 watts on this clapton coil its a nice light warm vape. I ordered there new V8 coils and those are "eight coil vertical octuplet" and those are rated at .2ohms 60 - 130watts i believe they are kanthal on the V8 coil, i will post my thoughts on those when i het them, jn the meantime this clapton coil is chucking hella clouds.

You're correct about the V2 and V8 coils being kanthal. I'm am trying my Clapton coil right now since I received my IPV3 Li today and just upgraded it. The Arctic V8 tank is great, can't wait to break this coil in.

Yea, i mean i have about 5 other sub tanks, and this is my first go at a clapton coil which just happens to be with my new V8 and i am liking this. Plus they have some other coil options, they are trying to follow suit like the TFV4 having all these coil options. Good luck with yours and once you break that coil in and get it cranked up you will love it, of course that is if high wAttage is your thing. I actually like all different wattages so i jump around alot so horizon offering different coils on this V8 tank is way cool.

what does the ipv3 go up to in watts? Initially i tried to use my ipvd2 but it wont fire the clapton coil cause the coil came in at .19, so i had to put the tank on my SIG 150. I am def going to get some .5 coils for this so that way i can use my ipvd2 when i need something compact when i am out and about.

I actually didn't know the V4 was a Clapton first off, which was a pleasant surprise when I looked. I was using an IPV Mini 2, and the display screen went out last night. Luckily I know what's wrong and how to fix it. Just don't want to mess up my Enter The Dragon skin, haha.

The IPV3 Li goes up to 165w out of the box. 200 plus a few more TC options after a quick upgrade.

I prefer the Arctic V8 over the TFV4. Just simply for functionality and ease of use. I'm not much for vape bands, and I enjoy not being forced to use one with V8 like the TFV4. And I've had very positive dealings with Horizon Tech in the past.

Me neither, mine is just on loan currently. But with the new discovery of the V4 Clapton at 90w, I'm not sure I want it back. Haha.

When I ordered my IPV Mini 2 from Wake and Vape, it had an option for a free skin with a few choices to choose from. I haven't ordered from there since then so I'm not privy to if they're still doing such a thing. It's a very nice, high quality skin.

I just looked online and came across this site mighty skins, but they dont have anything that knocks my socks off for a ipvd2 skin, although they have a large selection the only one i saw that i liked on the skin for it was glossy solid colors, or carbon fiber. They have many weird designs but only saw a couple that i would get from them

247skins.com has some good ones, very high quality from what I hear, not just stickers, but an actual skin. They do custom ones as well, IIRC.
Jwraps has a wide selection as well but I'm not sure which mods they will fit or the quality.

I have noticed this tank gets exceptionally hot with the V4 coil quite easily. Even at 70w. Still digging it though.

The only time mine got very hot was when i first put the coil in and got it primed. Then it wasnt getting as hot as it did when i first started using it, also i do not chain vape so i think that has much to don with it not getting hot. I am vaping
that V4 coil now at 100watts and its not even warm

I tend to chain vape mostly, unless I'm busy then I'll hit it then set it to the side. Still enjoying it, though. I can't wait for my vape mail to get here, I'm not sure I'll be using this much after I do. Haha.

Well I ordered the Evic VTC Mini and the Cubis. Plus I won a asMODus Klean mechanic mod along with a Freakshow RDA, Kayfun 4 clone, and this new Aeolus tank. So I'll be having lots of fun when it comes in.

Also ordered the kanthal and Ni coil for the V8 so I'm so looking forward to that.

Have you seen the V8 Mini and the rebuildable coil they've released for them both? They also released kanthal twisted wire coils as well.

I also saw the gClaptons had a Arctic compatible coil out now.

This is getting insane!

Yea i was just looking in myvaporstore.com, i saw that tank, it's basically the same as the V8 except smaller juice capacity. I wonder of those snake coils/twisted coils are good. Looks like those coils are rated between 40- 80 watts or something like that. It is getting crazy, soo many choices.

The gClaptons was for the original Arctic that I saw, made by Atom Vape or something of the like. I don't believe they'll make any for the V8 since Horizon is making Claptons for it already.
I believe the mini will have more flavor than the original. Seems to be that way with most mini's these days.
And the twisted wire coils is 60-140 I believe. Not all of them, since there is three choices to choose from, but the lowest I remember is 60w and the highest is 140-ish.

ElementVape has everything I just mentioned, minus the gClaptons, IIRC.

I ordered the other coils that didn't come with the V8, not the new twisted coils. I can't wait to try them. I really want to get some Atom gClaptons to try on my original Arctic as j loved the flavor from the SS coils to begin with.
If you get the twisted wire coils, I would love to know your thoughts. But I am definitely getting the RDA base for the V8 so I won't have to buy anymore coils I don't want to. Try to get a better flavor as well. The V4 Claptons are leaving more desired for sure.

I did not like my Crown. After the first two hours, it went down hill with leaks and no flavor. I'm actually in communication with the vendor to see about a replacement. But I am interested in the Uwell tank. I do love the way they look, though.

hi, wondering if someone could help me. I just received my v8 and the included v8 .2ohm coil is reading at .06 on both my rx200s? Is this a bad coil straight out of the box?

that may be the V2 kanthal coil that it comes with, that coil is .5ohms, take the coil out and see what is written on the side of the coil, i could be wrong but that may be the .5 that the tank comes with.

And if that coil is written as 2ohms on the coil itself, then if you have another device other then the rx200 that can fire it try it out, but yea you may have a bad coild, that has happened to me on my kanger in the past

It says V8 0.2 (60-130) on the coil and has the 4 vertical coil structures inside? on the packaging (came from ecig.com) it is marked as having the v4 .2ohm coil and the v8 .2 coil.

ok, i tried it on both my rx's and on my kooper 200 and it reads .06 on both rx's and won't read saying ohms too low on the kooper...that sucks...guess I'll try out the v4 for now... How long should I let the new coil soak for to make sure it is primed well?

I prime my coils with as much patience as i can, i soak the coil before i put the tank on, then close the air flow and do a bunch of pulls without power. Then do some quick low power pulls, and gradually work my way up untill its wicking good. You dont want to crank it up thAt fast. There are good videos on coil priming on youtube, there is one in particular on the youtube channel QUESTFORVAPE. They prime a crown coil and show you what i am talking about by taking baby pulls and gradually raising the wattage untill it wicks real smooth

Hey Chappy, i should be getting those other V8 coils soon, tiger, snake and hive. I will let you know how they are , i also ordered he V8 mini being that i like the bigger one

Any body having problem getting the coils to wick after the second or third day? my v8 is great the first day or two of a coil, but then it stops wanting to let juice in the coil, and air in to the tank. I can take the cap off, and it will wick like no tomorrow, put the cap back on, and I get about 8 pulls and the coils dry again.
Update, I got my v8 coils in tonight, and this thing is kicking butt again. must be a few bad ni200 coils I got!

Very nice! Do tell me the results of these new coils. Would also be interesting to see some broken apart after you go through them.

I've not tried TC with this tank as I am awaiting the Ni coil right now. Could be perhaps the juice you're using is gunking up the cotton and hindering the wicking properties?

Yea, i also have not tried TC yet, i have the TIGER coil .30 in the V8 mini at 80watts with some candylands Snozzberry, flavor is Popping and the vapor is good. Now i have only been using this tiger coil for a few hours but i will have to see how long it lasts.

I am anxious to find out what you think about them. You said you got all three to try out? Were you able to buy them in singles or did you have to get a whole box?
I found a shop around my girlfriend's area that has V8 coils and snagged a .5 Clapton and a .5 SS to try out whilst I wait for the others to come in.

i bought singles, they were $3.95 each at "myvaporstore.com" Its funny i didnt buy the .05 clapton V4 yet , but i want to cause i need some at that ohms. I do have the 0.2 clapton , that one i have been vaping at 100 watts, actually i have vaped it higher without dry hit, but the sweet spot for me on that one is 90 to 100 watts. I dont chain vape that so i dont have to worry about the tank getting too hot, bit i have heard others mention that the tank gets very hot if you keep toking on it. I just earlier through the SNAKE coil in the V8 , it says on the specs that the snake coil wattage range is 40 - 70watts , right now after priming it is wicking ok at 55 watts, i tried 60 but got sort of a slight burn taste so i brought it back down to 55 watts. I think mostly because the coil really is primed fully, im sure and im hoping i can then vape this snake coil at 70watts, but for now 55 is ok untill it breaks in. You know honestly i have been mostly happy with horizon products, using the original arctic, the mini V8, and the regular V8. I rotate alot between my OBS CRIUS RTA. Let me know if you get the .5 v4 clapton coil being that i dont have that one. Its suppose to be good from 60 to 140. But yea the 0.2 clapton is freaking awesome, again because i dont chain vape those higher power coils they work out ok for me , i jump around alot so, any questions just ask i hope this info helps you and who ever else asks me.

I just bought this tank today and I'm using 0.2 V4 and I've just primed it and vaping it a little bit at 60 - really just a few times and the second I hit the fire button, the entire tank gets unbelievably hot. And it's seeming to produce half the vapor that my arctic original did at 60... anyone know anything about this?

Never mind. I just read further. Sorry! By the sounds of things I'll just give it a bit longer and see what's going on. If I chain vape and it stays that hot... am I going to have an explosion on my hands or should I maybe be good to go?

Although it is boiling hot and I've maybe hit it like 6 times.

I've noticed that as well. Mostly the .2 Clapton is what gave me the most heat. And you'll have that with that many coils warming up around that solid steel coil housing.
I actually started using the .5 SS coil last night and I'll say at 45-50w gives me wayyyyyy more flavor than the any of the V4 coils.
The kanthals work nicely as well, not too either.
I believe I'm going to stay away from them for a while, anything but the SS and Kanthals coils, until Phil tells me some epic news about the three new coils that just came out are like.
I also have the RBA coming for this tank so I probably won't be using prebuilt such longer :)

I'm a bit new to vaping, but I have the artic v8, and I want to know how to properly prime it. I had it good the first time bought it, but probably burned the coils out because after a week the flavor was lost and then it just tasted burnt. Not sure what I did the first time, but I was only burning at 80w. Please help.

This is how I prime my coils and it seems to work for me;

Make sure all the fittings on the coil is good. I.E. the O ring is in the right spot and intake, the rubber gasket on the bottom is pushed in all the way.
Take your new coil and dab some juice on any parts you see cotton. Which would be 4-5 hold on the sides of the coil and then onto the cotton that is sitting on the cotton.
If your tank has an AFC (air flow control), close it.
screw your new coil in and make sure its snug and screwed in all the way.
Upon filling your tank and assembling back together with the new coil in it, be sure to take several pulls with the AFC closed and no power. You will probably see tiny bubbles rising from your coil at this point and that's very normal. All you're doing is replacing the air that's trapped in the cotton with juice.
Let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
Start out at 25-30 taking a few hits. Bump up the wattage about 5w and do the same thing.
Keep doing that until you find your desired wattage.

If you vape at 80-ish watts, I would vape a whole tank from the beginning of the prime until you get to 80w just to be sure its primed fully.
