I picked up A hana dna30 clone a few weeks ago,so far I like it,I usually take the battery out to charge ,but tonight I used the charging cable that came with it and it did fine, just hit the power button every once in a while and the battery indicator will tell where your charge is at.Unlike the MVP2 that you can vape on while charging,I've heard it was not suggested to do this with the Hana. With a fully charge battery, it should last you a while using a tank such as your mini protank3.

I should add, the Vamo can be used with either an 18350 or 18650 battery. The Zmax that I have, only 18650. I know some Zmax are either or, but I don't know if any come with extension tubes to use both.

Could get a Zmax Mini (18350) and this extension (for 18650): http://www.ljesmokes.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1821

Or get a big powerful expensive box, or a really long and heavy chrome bludgeon. I wonder what your hand might have to say about all this, assuming it's not a man hand.

A top consideration for me would be what shape do I like in my hand? What's most comfortable? Do I like to fire with my finger or thumb? Does it fit the size of my palm and the length of my fingers?

A box and a tube are like a square and a round peg. The "hole" it's going into matters. ;)

Just popped a Demerol. Metaphors are beyond me.

Ha! Metaphors schmetaphors. You got a lotta guys chiming in here. What you personally might like in your hand none of us knows. I can tell what I like but that's not the question. And I'd rather not say how many capable mods I've gotten rid of because they didn't end up handling comfortably for me. Too many. I can say that it's called a personal vaporizer for a reason, and form factor is a personal choice. Sorry if this is not the buy this or buy that help you might prefer at the moment. But if you do rate shape and size high when you choose (as well as watts, ohms and milli-amp hours) you will likely be happier in the end.

Demerol? Gimmie some!

No dude I really appreciate you mentioning it.

I'm taking all the advice into consideration before choosing.

They are amazing - they even make me love my mother.

I do love the charge through aspect of my Innokin itaste MVP2. Some may never use it, but I like it when I am vaping at the computer. Just pop it in the USB jack and vape away while it's charging. (I'm pretty sure the itaste VV V3's do this as well, but I have only done it with my MVP2.)
Whatever you choose, good luck!

Another thing to think about is with a Chana (love mine), ZMAX or Vamo you will have to get separate batteries and a charger. But you can carry extra batteries along if you need them. With a MVP2 you can charge from any USB port or just carry an adapter to plug into the wall.

I will say that i love my Chana and SX350 mods and have stoped using mechs since i got them. I do prefer the SX350 over the DNA because it has step down if you are wanting to vape at lower wattage. Hope this helps, Happy Vaping and Good Luck

did you buy one?
I'm about to pull the trigger on the HANAA modz DNA 350 w the adaptor

Hesitant to look at tanks (brain full) but I may as well....

@Scuba-Matt thanks for that link.
Here are some sites that have good variety and great prices

www.101vape.com
www.angelcigs.com
https://88evape.com/
those first 2 links sell hanas. they're US based so you won't be waiting for however long it takes fasttech to ship to the US these days

Nothing yet. Looking at the ZMax v5 now - still deciding. Analog notes are piling up!

What are you using lately?

i use a Seven 22 at my desk and in the evenings. it's a 26650 mod. i think it's totally brilliant!! and in the day i take out a 'mini' hana with spare batteries - also a fantastic little mod for the price.

everyone has assumed that because you call yourself a n00b that you don't want to spend money and therefore are recommending the cheaper end mods. is that what you're looking for? for n00bs, vapers often recommend devices with built in batteries so they don't have to spend more money on batteries and a charger. so what is it you want to do and give us a ballpark figure on what you want to spend.

and would you prefer a box shapped mod or tube?

Well, I am pretty ignorant about vaporizers. I'm fine with spending money on one made durably though. Also fine with buying batteries and a charger separately.

I haven't tried a box mod but I'm not put off by them. Idk I'm kind of obsessed with getting lots of info before making a decision. May need another couple days before I do.

I do prefer devices allow you to swap out batteries making it easy to carry a spare battery with you.

The devices that have a built in and non replaceable battery end up as scrap when the battery dies while the units that allow you to change the batteries can last for years and years and you only have to purchase a new battery rarely. And a good charger could well last you a lifetime and be a one time purchase.

Sometimes you have to spend money to save more money in the long-run.

that's the thing i'm saying. but also, it's a difficult one. we can spend a lot on a device because we (usually) know what we're getting and suited to. when suggesting an expensive mod to a new vaper we know that they are going to get quality but whether they get satisfaction is a different thing. a friend over the internet bought a provari when she first began vaping a few years ago and she says she's still very happy with it, but that's her.

The provari is a bit more expensive but such a nice mod and has lots of accessory options. it's saved her money because she hasn't needed to buy another. it hasn't broke.

I'm making the leap into "advanced" vaping.

It looks like a VW/VV battery is the first step into AV life.

But I'm really unsure which kind to buy.

I hear good things about the sigelei ZMAX...but also about Vamo and Vivi.

I don't need something with all the bells and whistles - just a reliable model that I can build on.

Tips, suggestions, questions are most welcome. ;)
Cheers![/

what makes the ProVari so good, from your experience or observations?

Hi Carla, I hope you're feeling better. I've never used one but they are very well engineered and last a long time. I've known people that's been using the same one 3+ years. The new version is very aesthetically pleasing. It will have butter smooth threads, a good connection, reliable circuitry which is important. They are using a new regulation board. I'll try and find Joe's post on it. It also has temperature monitoring and a host of other new features.

The Provari itself offers a lot of upgrade features and you can pimp it and make it unique and personal to yourself, such as different types of bottom caps with amazing designs and it comes in various sizes. You can buy different designed tubes for it too and other sizes if you want to use different size batteries (although the new one might include all the size tubes). There are a few websites, Provape included, which sells the extras. But on it's own is fine. It's a solid well made mod that is less likely to let you down than just about any other mod in the vape world. When it comes out I will definitely buy one.

Here we are - you may get a balanced opinion via the comments http://vapingunderground.com/threads/new-evolv-board-and-provari.3278/

This is the Provape site but currently they're still showing the old one which is starting to look lame in comparison http://www.provape.com/category-s/39.htm

and this is Pete doing a review on it which is probably the most accurate review you'll get. If you intend on shelling out the kind of money this is going to cost then watch the review first. Currently the PV3 is on preorder and everyone will rush to buy it. So you can get on a vendor's list now or wait or get something else. There are alternatives. The Vaporshark 18650 is also highly rated and these are the two I recommend to you.

Else get a Vicious Ant :p
