Just curious for a worst case scenario what is everyone doing to prepare for a heavy handed banhammer in terms of regulations, etc.

Hopefully be able to sustain for a while on the supplies and things I have on hand, and coming soon. Should be able to last a few months on the low end.

edit: Ohh, did you mean what am I doing to stock up? 100mg nicotine in PG stock - every month I try and get a new one. I've got a lot of flavorings, but I'll probably be buying a big ol' stock of my most commonly used ones before it proves impossible. I've got hundreds of feet of various size kanthal, cotton coming out of the yang, and I've got ... shoot, a lot of drippers, tanks, mods etc. Batteries, I have 6 new-in-package Sonys stashed away as well as a spare charger - 8 various others in continuous rotation.

The key to tanks, I figure, is RTAs - that way I don't have to worry about coilheads. Drippers are drippers and will function forever provided they don't break. I've got mods and pen-style ego batteries stashed as well. I don't want to sound like a hoarder or a vape prepper or anything, but I like back ups. I like back ups of back ups.

My Pappy always said, Two is One and One is None. I'm lying, my father never said that, or anything close to it.

I think that if they ever did ban anything it will be high wattage mods and subohm coils first. Then chip away at them more and more until we have to buy
BLU type ecigs.
I'm stocked up on enough mods I could be good for the rest of my life. Coils... well I would just roll my own.

However, I personally don't think it will ever happen.

I do expect them to start with nicotine--probably the easiest for them to work with, and the one that's unarguably within their legal range. So if anything, I'd prioritize that first.

Mods second.

After that, PG, VG, wire (Kanthal, nichrome, SS, Ti, and Ni), wicking (whether rayon, silica, cotton, or other), and 18650 batteries shouldn't be impacted. They're all used for far too many other things, and can't be rendered useless for vaping without also rendering them useless for other purposes.

Flavoring might be "banned" for vaping purposes, but you won't have any trouble getting it. It's used for baking, candies, and a thousand other purposes both food related and not.

Worst case scenario, IMO hardware is not an issue. It's easy enough to make 40 watts with a couple of batteries in a box.

Atties are easy to make too.

I doubt VG, PG, flavorings, wire and cotton/SS mesh/Rayon are going to become controlled substances.

Nic on the other hand could become a problem so I've got some of that stashed just in case :)

VG, PG, Flavoring can't be banned without impacting other markets, especially food.
Funnels, Syringes, etc also can't be banned

Nicotine could be banned. But that might effect the tobacco industry as well as organic farming.
Plus nicotine has been making strides in medicine, like treating Parkinson's Disease.

Banning/hindering the sale of flavored eliquid would happen before banning anything else.

I don't see our greedy government banning anything they can make tax money on. The prices might quintuple overnight, but they're not gonna throw away tax money. Remember Prohibition?

I'm a little worried about nic, but fortunately the gov't doesn't do anything quickly. I'm waiting until it looks eminent before I stock up.

Similar to how they sell bottles of juice in Chicago without nicotine to avoid high taxes, I'd imagine they could start selling mods in pieces at low cost as a legal DIY.
