While out Christmas shopping I happen to drop by a local Vape shop and picked up a kanger subvod starter. Comes with a 1300mah battery and a subtank nano with a .5ohm ssocc o
Coil preinstalled been vaping on it for about 2 weeks and does fairly well as far vapor production and flavor. It actually gave my realeux rx200 and d2 alittle christmas break lol

im looking for a another work mod. Have my eye on this or the Innokin Endura T-18. Does the battery seem durable? I work in some pretty nasty conditions, and I need something that can handle being slightly abused...

I purchased one of these and had VERY high hopes. I followed the instructions when soaking the coil, filling the tank, etc. I feel like I'm inhaling extremely hot air and there's barely any vapor. The only pleasant thing about this item is the purple color of it.

Take a pin and loosen the cotton filler in the holes on the side of the coil head, tease it out a bit. The cotton might be packed a bit tight.

Ed: Known issue with the Subvod coil heads.....

Thank you. I'll give that a try!!!
Edited to update: That didn't change anything.

I have a subvod, try checking making sure the airflow is adjusted by twisting the control between the tank and the top of the battery, you wil see a slot and it could be the issue, just twist it until you see it opened.. Hope this helps

Thanks for that. No, that's not the issue. I don't know what the issue is but I really hate to have it sitting back in the box. When I take a pull, I just get extremely hot air and no vape at all.

Odd problem as they air pretty good vapes most times. But they are more of a starter kit for beginners. Have you tried a new coil? CHEERS!

My neighbor just got hers and is raving about it. Now I'll HAVE to get a new tank/coil. I do like getting the "starter kits" as I'm not into rebuilding at this point. Seeing the exploding ecigs on the news makes me want to be exceptionally careful about using the correct parts and not overcharging, etc.

the kanger 1.5ohm coils are rubbish too much cotton... but try it with a 0.5ohm vertical coil.. 0.5ohm kanger Clapton youll get good clouds and pretty good flavour. they pull around 26watts and the battery life is pretty good i have one as a backup to my KBOX

Thanks, vapebomb. I did get a coil from a local shop and it was the wrong size. I'll probably bring the whole thing over and let him see it today. I'd love to actually get it working so I can see what the fuss is about.

I just picked one of these up from my local shop this afternoon. Will be getting it set up and going after work today.

I finally got mine working wonderfully. I just cleaned it out, filled it up, and it suddenly worked beautifully. I use it every day. I don't use it all day long as I switch off with my eGO AIO and my eLeaf TC40W. The battery seems to run down super fast. I just charged it last night and I'm timing how long it lasts for. My neighbor just plugs his in every night and goes to bed. Fortunately, it does have overcharge protection, but I doubt I'd leave it all night. It takes anywhere from two to three hours to fully charge. Good luck!

I got mine up and running, currently vaping some fine strawberry/vanilla/creme custard juice and am loving both the device and the juice. I'm using this as a secondary/backup device to my Vapeberri. How often do you usually change your coils in the Subvod and AIO?

Since I use them both all day, I can go about 10 days. People say a week. On the Subvod, you can see the cotton. When it's looking black, it's definitely time to change it. One juice I was using turned it black very quickly. Then I'd def do seven days change. On the AIO, it will start to produce less vapor, but this is also an indication that the battery needs charging. I can pull the mouthpiece off and see dark juice collecting in the drum.
Either way, if you start tasting a burnt taste and you haven't been vaping on it heavily, that's a good sign.

Where did you get your strawberry vanilla creme custard juice? I just got a strawberry custard from The Clean Vape. It's very custardy. I always add a touch of menthol since I was a menthol smoker, but I vape it straight for a while to check out the full flavor.

I picked mine up from my local area vape shop, $9.99 + tax for 30ml. Also a menthol smoker, Kools & Pall Mall Greens for many years.

While filling my Subvod last night I accidentally took off the whole top of the tank instead of just unscrewing the mouthpiece part. I screwed it back on, took the top piece off and filled the tank. When I replaced it and started vaping with it I now have juice seeping out the vent slots. Any ideas why? Possible over fill or something else?

You probably didn't get it back on tight enough. Mine started leaking the other day, which had me very upset. Turned out I didn't have it quite tight enough. Just give it another twist, hopefully that will fix it. Also, if you top fill, close the airflow before you take the top off. I also hold my fingers over the closed airflow holes to block any leakage.

Put a tissue around the vents and blew through the mouthpiece to clear it. Seems it was simply a flooded coil.

When I tried to unscrew the top to fill earlier today, I accidentally was unscrewing the tank from the base. Didn't turn it a whole lot, but it was enough to cause some to come through the air holes. I filled, tightened everything up real well, dabbed tissues into the vents to soak up the drops in there and I was good to go. I have heard a lot about them leaking on people. I thought I was just a lucky one as mine never leaked until the other day when it wasn't tight. Apparently it's not the tanks; it's user error.

Okay, now I'm feeling like a real dummy. I took my device apart this morning to change the coil and I can't seem to get it to unscrew. I didn't think I tightened it that much when I last changed it so that should not be the problem. Plus, it almost looks like I installed the last one upside down. Is that even possible, I didn't think so. Help please, very confused.

Don't panic. You can go to You Tube and search for a video on cleaning the device, or changing the coil, so that that you can see step by step. I believe it's impossible to install your coil upside down, but I guess anything is possible, lol. I know what you mean about how tight it gets. I do try to get it very tight to avoid leakage, but then it's SO hard to unscrew for coil changing.
By the way, my last coil lasted about 13 days, but for two of those days I was having almost constant leakage. I cleaned everything up all nice when I changed it and the only thing I can think of about the leakage is that the coil attachment was wearing down. The little gray o ring in there was intact.

I don't use mine constantly as I bounce between three different devices but usually can get about two weeks out of a new coil.

I have usually used SS coils in my Subvod but when I ordered more I accidentally ordered Claptons. Will I notice any difference?
