TL;DR - SHINY, well built, flawless temp control. Basic and user-friendly, but well made mod by Kangertech. Recommended for anyone who has enough experience to understand the basics of temp control and is the proud owner of a decent subtank.
Aesthetics:
First of all, Kanger has always impressed me quality-wise as far as the construction of their products. This mod has absolutely outdone itself.
A couple of things that I love:
-Finish is very nice, very smooth and SHINY. It catches eyes everywhere I go and I end up handing it over to strangers more often than I would prefer
-Battery compartment is very well made, the cover stays on tight and makes a sweet a-- click when you put it on
-Charging port is slightly recessed which I find very attractive
-Screen is bright and easy to navigate, clearly displays all necessary info
What I didn't love:
-Buttons feel a little less high quality than the rest of the mod and do rattle around a lot
-Mod is pretty small hence the Kbox Mini title, which may be an adjustment for some
Functionality:
Literally 0 ramp up time in temp control mode in my limited experience. I'm currently running an Ni200 coil at .15 ohms at 470F and I have not once had anything close to a dry hit. You can certainly feel it adjusting for the lack of wicked juice on a long hit, but its not a big deal when you realize that without the TC your throat would be on fire.
The screen is pretty down and dirty, nothing super flashy, but you can easily navigate and read it. The wattage adjustment is a little slow when not in TC mode. It also has the ability to run both nickel and titanium coils, as well as regular kanthal, which gives the user a lot of options.
Pro Tip, this mod will devour your juice if you don't pay attention, so if you're trying to cut back or conserve juice, just be careful with that. I mean, I can inhale my entire 3mL tank in 45 minutes if I vape heavily.
My Setup/Experience:
I have my Innokin Isub Apex top fill subtank resting atop this mighty steed, and its never impressed me more. Shoutout to Innokin for making a freakin awesome nickel coil that tastes great for weeks.
Clouds are respectable at 470F, (my current temp) but not amazing. Not that I really care, my criteria when looking for equipment is whatever is easy to use, looks nice, tastes good, and doesn't burn the hell out of my lungs and throat if I'm not paying attention.
9/10 Recommended to anyone looking for a middle of the road temp control mod which is easy to use and looks great.
