What in your opinion are the best flavours from Capella, TFA, Flavour West and others I have tried some Capella and TFA but nothing has stood out and I love Flavour art flavours so was just wondering which flavours to try and which to avoid.

I've read on here that VBIC, graham cracker and golden pineapple amongst others are needed for certain recipes but I don't want to waste money so after some opinions.

People will commonly buy top-rated flavors or those that sound really good. This often results in the frquently-repeated topic, "What can I make with these flavors?"

DIYers find success more frequently by starting with one or two recipes posted here by mixologists with years of experience. You can pick up small samples of those 'best of' flavorings to suit. It's a great way to start a collection. :)

Yes I like to find a recipe with most of the ingredients I have then buy the ones I'm missing I was just wanting to get away from all FA flavouring

Thanks for the reply

Yay, you!

There's on of those 'what can I mix' threads at the top of a thread right now. You rock :)

Why do you want to get away from FA?

DIYers ARE SUCCESSFUL when they follow a few good clones.

When you follow a clone and it's a good one it gives the new DIYers confidence to spread the wings and remix other.clones and instead of adding sweet cream they add Bavarian and see the difference and it just goes on and on until you have your own amazing 5-6 flavor recipe that people can't get enough of.

Good plan but if your mixing ingredient you can always sub and get something possibly better. ESPECIALLY if it's a cream your.missing say the recipe calls for Bavarian cream but you have sweet cream add the sweet cream. It will be your own recipe that way and there will be a different taste possibly better

Hey, Adam - Did you ever figure out why you can't taste any flavors?

Have got RP's RY4 sorted yet?

Like Adam, I have trouble tasting flavors. In my case, it is likely that my 73 year old taste buds have gone south (along with most of my other body parts...lol)

Capella sugar cookie is such a good flavor. Crazy thing is I couldn't stand it at first then I made a sugar cookie and milk recipe and now I can't get enough of it. It's really really sweet to
