You got a tube or Mech Box? the Griffin has an adjustable Pin so it works even on hybrids...
With only 40w max you'd be limited to some 28g 6-8 wraps/2.5mm Coils or thinner wire...but dont expect satisfying results, but you could very well be surprised..
Griffin on a 2SIX Tube...This is a pretty decent setup

i have a clone Origin, but again it defeats the purpose of the limit of my all day device. ive got a slew of rta's, rda's, a stick mod, an istick and the sigelei 150w.

Once you have something thats charged your options grow exponentially...
Try some 24g/38g Fused Claptons with 6 wraps/3mm ID. It will need around 90w-120w for use but its one of my favorites

Also tragic news today...

I dropped my Griffin/IPV getting in the car today to go to class...

Broke the top cap off :(

In other news I guess it's time to finally purchase a real independent drip tip. Anyone got a favorite? Something I can use universally.

Matt
Loving my Trinity Copa clone. The wide bore that comes with the Griffin is just too airy it seems. The copa does a nice job of choking it off but doesn't result in the tons of buildup dripping in my mouth like most small bore drip tips tend to do. Plus it looks purdy. Next time I get a chance I'll be ordering a couple more of them.

Dotmod or Copa....They both are nice and wide bore and feel nice on your lips.
The dotmod is just about the same bore as the normal tip but much nicer feeling. The Copa is slightly smaller in bore but looks and feels nice also. They are both on FastTech and the Dotmod is the real Friction fit like the Authentic...

ive got bigger mods, but the istick is the only one i have with usb charging. and since i have to be on the road 12+ hours a day, i need something i can charge in the truck. for the time being, thats the istick 40.

As an added thought my Wismec RX200, with up to 20Ow available, goes for a couple days on a single charge vaping the Griffin at about 70w..it also supports USB in-mod charging..perfect when your done driving and parked in a Pilot or your favorite truck stop for your 1Ohr break..just plug it in and when your ready to roll batts will be fully charged and good to go all day long again..
I used to drive myself, I remember what it's like OTR...just wish mods were as good as they are now...I used two 26650 mechs in those days, lol

The Exodus preorder ends Friday....I cant wait until its shipped out....Ill be building something mighty for that rig...Im still waiting for my Black/Gold TM rda to get here also, thats whats going on top with a Double Vision Deck in it....
Yea I really wouldnt want to actually see how much Ive thrown at vaping so far but Im guessing its atleast 4 digits big...I love it though. I just got the Laisimo L1 today and Im pretty happy it did, the Snow Wolf has been out of commission since I broke a battery tab and I needed something to take over its place while I fix it.

The VCMT is on the Wrecker lol Its just hidden behind the Griffin. Its rocking a SS TC build for now.

The SW Mini is rocking the Fountain V2, a Squonk RDA with the Snow Wolf Logo. Ill postr a couple pics below, @Dawn0810 has one also.

Pretty sweet little thing there.
@Hank F. Spankman sent me one out of nowhere and I really didnt think I would like it when I saw it. I tossed a crappy build on it and juiced the bottle and tossed it on the SW Mini, it has not left that mod afterwards. It is crazy comfy on it, I use my pointer finger to press the fire button and my thumb naturally rests right where the bottle opening is. So I draw and when it gets dry I push it with my thumb and fire it with my finger at my leisure...they were made for each other!

Looks like you still can't find what your looking for, lol
Seriously, that's quite a collection right there Ray, being on a tight vape budget I have to research what mods will work for me and, of course, within my limited budget... This past year I only bought two mods, and spent under a hundred bucks for both...but they are keeping me tobacco free, which is why I chose to vape in the first place, lol

dont ask me how, but i just made 2.5 inches of 30/38 alien. only enough for 2 3wrap 2mm coils. stuck em in the griffin and fired it on the istick 40w. actually turns out well. 5-6 wraps would be better probably but considering i cant make aliens to save my life im not complaining.

What type of juices are you using? Like raymo2u said, sometimes all you really need is a good cleaning.
We've been using Ugly Butter regularly and partially I do like to build a lot. So next time I'll just try cleaning them and rewicking. Thanks

Get the 17mm or they wont be the 1:1 tips...they wont have the Friction bases either and you need that for the widest bore. Yes they are all 510 Tips.

From fasttech who I've never done business from...so I'm to assume I won't see these drip tips until Christmas time?

Nah, much quicker - the Chinese holiday is over. You should have them by Thanksgiving! :D
No joke. There's quite a list of things I want to order from fast tech, but I'm applying for new jobs, some out of state, and I wouldn't want things on the way here if I end up moving in the next month or two

LINK is here for the Quick Setup Tut.

Updating is pretty easy if you have Windows 10, if you have Win7/8/Vista then it can be a pain as you need to install the correct drivers, they failed on this if you ask me. I have added drivers and they will, auto-install in the background if you need it (Ive sent my tweaks to Hohm Tech along with some suggestions). If you have Win7/8/Vista I can upload the Updater with my tweaks so it will be seamless for you, if you have Win10 then just get it normally and update it to FSK Version 2.4.4. Just let me know on the Hohm Tech G2 thread what you need to do and Ill do my best to help you on your way.

I have 130 something RDAs that are mostly useless because I don't really get to sit and vape I'm always doing something which makes it pretty hard to sit there and drip that's why I like something with a tank of some kind but with the closest taste to what an Rda gives you

Got two builds to show off tonight. One normal but in a cool position, the other as far as i know hasnt been built or atleast been made famous. Ok pic time.
First up just a normal clapton. BUT its in a crown rba :)
20160224_192746.jpg
I actually forget what the core is and what the wrap is. I had it sitting around and i noticed it and was like hmmmm, that just might fit.

This is the main showcase for tonight tho.
20160224_204100.jpg
If it hasent been built before it has now. And if someines seen this before and im makeing a fool of myself, then please tell me. But if im not, then ill call it an armored fused clapton. (The name sounds cool so why not.)
26k x2 core. 34k wrap. Further wraped in flat ribbon. 6 wraps, tried to make it a dual but didnt get enought wire for it.
Put it in my new velocity.

They look good. Ive stayed away from those ribbon claptons (hell, i dont even know what theyre called) because i hear they can be finger shredders but i hear the flavor is pretty good

Their not to bad if you do them first then wrap over them, but as long as the wrap is nice and flush edge to edge, their smooth as hell. Even smoother then a 40g clapton, and those you xan barely tell are claptons.
They look good. Ive stayed away from those ribbon claptons (hell, i dont even know what theyre called) because i hear they can be finger shredders but i hear the flavor is pretty good

And for the recourd, ive seen people wrap a clapton with ribon before, but not like this. When ive seen it done (and have built before) there is alot of spaceing with the ribbon, i basicly claptoned the clapton with it with no spacing. This is the wire before coiling.
20160224_202714.jpg
Then the ribbon spreads apart a little when you coil it up, making it look like armor does. Hence why i called it (and still will) an armored clapton

Also, this build kicks ass. Clouds bigger then my dual coils, and flavor for days

@EndDetour how you like the aeronaut? It's on my list of possible next RDAs along with, Twisted Messes, Double Vision, and Goon RDAs

Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
I have no experience with the double vision or goon. First rda I bought was the omega...just don't. Then I got a pair of velocity rda's for my fiancé and I, hers a pink tobeco clone, and mine a ss fast tech clone. The only downside to mine in comparisons to hers was my fast tech screws were the softest alloy I've seen yet. Half a dozen builds and I had to switch them out with the replacements which didn't last any longer. Other than that very solid, builder friendly rda with incredible airflow and a fairly deep juice well. Hers is still going strong without the need of the replacement screws, and im on the lookout for more solid screws for mine. One of the employees at my go-to local vape shop Vid's saw some of my builds and wanted to learn. I taught her how to do the fused Clapton, so she bought a twisted messes tobeco clone to mount the pair. The build deck was large, screws seemed decent, post holes were a respectable size, airflow was sufficient.
It comes with multiple barrels, as well as a drip tip adaptor and a chuff cap. I liked it but not as well as my plume veil. Ironvapin.com commissioned tobeco to produce a "special edition" plume veil In a variety of materials and colors, including the sexy gun metal. I copped the copper version. Couple notable differences; the post holes are even larger than twisted messes', and the solid as hell screws it comes with are flat head. Compared to the authentic as well as the FT clones it's far more solid and builder friendly. Flavor is fantastic. Yet since I got the aeronaut I can't pick up another rda for more than one battery life without switching back. The airflow if phenomenal with top and bottom crisscross pipes feeding air to the coil. Bit of a learning curve figuring out the best way to mount certain coil setups. Personally I enjoy some of the wider more exotic coils in a single coil setup. It Saves battery life and if you know how to build to your subjective tastes you shouldn't have a problem with flavor or vape production with this rda at all. Best flavor from an rda I've come across...and the airflow as the strangle worthy riptrippers says, "has you chuckin the clouds." DO NOT BUY THE CLONE! They are anything but 1:1. I did a previous post pertaining to the differences between the two. You can easily find comparison videos on YouTube. $64 on eciggity.com. I particularly appreciate the 10mm juice well. I have yet to buy a bottom wicking Rta but I can't imagine they have a much larger tank in terms of volume. With a rolled wicking job I can usually get 18-30 puffs depending on the coil set up. I don't have another piece of vaping equipment that cost even half that much. Well worth the investment.

I thought you were talking about the plume veil at first... So i was thinking about getting the aeronaut but i was also eyeing the petri v2 and i cant see myself to getting both. Would you say(especially being $35 cheaper of course) that the aeronaut would be the better value?

They look nice. Was their a wrap under the ribbon in yours? Mines a 26 34 fused clapton then wraped in ribon. I couldent tell if yours had a stardered wrap as well in your pics.

The name is fitting tho isnt it? When its coiled it looks like old plate armor to me.

Nope just used the Ribbon to Fused them..Would be too much material and would take forever to ramp with outerwrap between.

5 Gallons wouldnt last very long around me :p
A Gallon roughly is 3785ml and I go through around 1400ml-1600ml every 2-3 weeks myself....so a Gallon would last maybe a Month and a Half...for just me?

I have absolutly no ramp time. And im only useing 70w lol give them a try some time. The flavor is wicked and the clouds off a single 6 wrap gives my dual fused claptons a big run for their money. Friday im gunna make this a dual build and really blow shit away
