Definitely on the battery box. Thanks everyone for all the input. Now it would be awesome to point me in the direction of an idiots guide to using the smok tfv4.

I used the SMOK vape band to secure the swivel top from swiveling out of place when in my pocket, worked great.

So I bought a smoktech tfv4 and a eleaf tc100w. I want to break away from Marlboro reds. Not sure what the next steps are other than waiting for them to arrive. Also bought Sony 18650 batts. Had tried halo triton couple of years ago and found I liked boba's bounty. Would like to know what are good eliquids to try and also if my 2 plus year old eliquids are okay to vape. What is next? What are flavors that former Marlboro smokers enjoy? Thanks.
good job

After reading a bit I think I'm going to be a mouth to lung vaper like l do with cigarettes. That said, maybe the smoktech was a bad idea. What would be another tank to put on it that would lend itself to that type of vaping? Or should I just start with the smoktech? I want to be successful in my transition from Marlboro
I did 10 months ago what you are doing now. My friend started me out with a drip type atomizer and I was in over my head. He built my coils for me for the 1st few months until I learned how. Now after switching to a tank I am happier but love the option of being able to build. I have been very happy with the Smok Tfv4 mini. It never has leaked on me and has so many different coil choices I am sure one of these will feel like smoking too you. Everyone says dont go too high of nicotine and I started off at 6mg. It was not near high enough. I wanted to smoke a real cig and the newness of the dripper freaked me out I wanted to smoke even more. I went to 18mg nicotine by the 2nd day and it was perfect. I smoked less than 1pk a day for 33 years before. Then after a month went down to lower nicotine e juice. I am still not quite to 6mg, Never in 10 months have I craved a regular cigarette. Vaping I crave now and It is so much better than cigs. The Smok tank is a bit tricky to screw down the tank as opposed to a bottom fill like the Aspire Atlantis but once you are past the initial set up, you will be very happy. The first few inhales will see harsh but after the 4th one it gets smooth and tasty. Keep your watts to the lower settings then go up from there according to the recommended settings. I am happy at the high middle ground for wattage. When it feels right thats your sweet spot. I smoked menthol full flavor before but prefer sweeter tart fruit flavors now. Good luck. You will be fine.

I think most tobacco flavors taste and smell like old carpet. However, VapeMoar sells a flavor called Mellow Gold that's a tobacco but with caramel and a slight nuttiness to it. I like that one quite a bit, just at lower watts. PLUS, that stuff is crazy cheap. All of their juice is $3 for a 15mL and $20 for 120mL. They have great savory and fruit flavors so maybe check out their sampler? Also, watch a bunch of youtube videos on the tank and the mod. I can't vouch for the TFV4, but learn how to use it, and I'm sure it'll serve you well as it has many vapers. The TC100w by eleaf though, is my favorite box. It's complicated to use, but it is freaking awesome. Super sturdy, and GREAT, battery life! I run the Crown on it, and it kicks ass!

The smok tfv4 is sitting unused as I really enjoy the GS tank on my tc 100 w. Very, very happy so far and havent smoked for two days now. woohoo. Now let the carnival of flavor begin--have spent like $100 on juice so far. Will eventually have to mix my own stuff. Bought Vader last night, going to try The legend in it's zippo like case today. Amazed I'm not jonesing for a cig.
Was wondering about a few things though. What do you do with your mods when you get to work or go somewhere in your car that does not allow vaping? Is it okay to leave those two 18650 batts in my car on a sunny florida day? Do you carry a "kit" with extra coils, juice, batteries etc? Have some local vape shops but find them to be "sketchey" in a way, and find myself wanting to get stuff from the internet-- any awesome shops in Tampa Bay/ up towards Spring Hill?
And thank you for all your input

Vader by Cyber I assume? Got that one in a Zamplebox, and it was realll good.

This was said once already but when you are running TC mode make sure you lock the resistance of the coil while it is at room temp before you start vaping. The reason you do this is because when the coil heats up your mod starts reading it at different ohms and causes it to heat up differently. By locking the resistance it will heat it the same everytime regardless of the temp of the coil giving you the exact same vape everytime. Also when in temp mode you should play around with the wattage until you get it where you want it. With those coils I would start around 30 watts and creep it up from there. I cant say enough how important locking the resistance of the coil for TC vaping. You may even look at picking up a Nautilus mini. Its the ultimate MTL flavor tank and cost under 30 bucks.

I find the smok to be too harsh. Really digging the gs tank

Have you tried the Original 1.5ohm(Kanthal) GS Air coils? Work great in Power/Wattage mode for MTL.

Congrats on quitting smoking!!:D

You might like one I've been hitting for about a week. It is called
Chicago Classic Smoke. There is chocolate flavor in the juice blending
with tobacco. The chocolate is not heavy.

Look on Vapor 4 Life's site for it. They have it listed under a premium
line. Very good juice imho, it has me staying off Hawk Sauce which says
a lot. May need to start being a regular customer for them. The juice
was a loss leader for them in a contest. I could see paying the price
they ask though.

Edit: Added direct link to be courteous. Sorry I didn't at first.
