My First TC Box Mod & TC Wire Questions

I have an Eleaf iStick TC100W in the vape mail that I am looking forward to using VW again after a year plus of VV. I thought I would be fine without an OLED screen and power settings, but vaping hasn't been as enjoyable without a box mod. The Tesla Fire Phoenix II has been ok until I saw the iStick 100W TC in white.

I have a very limited vape budget, so my three RTA's are so last year or older and nothing TC related. I like what I have seen and read about stainless steel wire. I like to consider myself a flavor chaser, though I admit that blowing sizable clouds does impress me too. Not huge room filling clouds, but a tad more then what I used to exhale with analogs.
Is there a single gauge SS wire that would work well for both flavor and nice billowing clouds?
BTW: I have a Steam Turbine, I-Atty Genesis, Aqua V2 and a Tobh V2 all clones.

Later I will want to have a nice white matching RTA and the only one I have found is the OBS Crius v3, which isn't bad at all from what I have read and seen about it. I have to wait for a good price like what Fast Tech has on the stainless and black colors. With more white colored mods coming out, hopefully I won't have to wait very long for more choices.
I haven't looked at too many sub-ohm tanks as the replacement coils can be pricey in the long run. The white Kangertech sub ohm tank with the RBA head might work for me.

I just did a review for the iStick 100W TC on vaping360.com. I liked it. Nice, compact form factor for a dual 18650 mod.

For wire, I usually go with 24AWG, or 24AWG claptoned with 34AWG. 26 or 28 work well also. The wire gauge you use comes down to personal preference. Larger wires have a larger "footprint" on the wick and more thermal mass.

For toppers, I don't know what you already have but picking up a couple of the "staples" isn't a bad idea to get started. I don't think I could do without one or two velocities laying around, for example.

I recommend 26AWG SS316L wire will get you the results you are looking for, get the Griffin RTA it is much more enhanced over the OBS, it does not come in white but the performance is great.

For TC wire I'm using 28ga SS430 from Unkamen Supplies (200ft for $10). I'm using that over other grades of SS because it's TCR is ~50% higher. Most SS is on the low end for TC and can be finicky. Haven't touched my 316L, Ni200, or Ti01 since getting it.

I read that point in other reviews, but I really am holding out for a white colored topper for the matchy matchy look that I like almost as much as great performance. The black could work if all else fails.

Haven't touched my 316L, Ni200, or Ti01 since getting it.
Thanks for posting the chart.

I noticed that too on a number of sites.
I also noticed more mods are coming out in white, so it a matter of a waiting game for a good white tank at a good price.
I'm also trying to avoid clones, not because they are bad, most of my tanks are clones, but for once I would like an original. My "newest" clone is an Aqua V2 in stainless.
Another option for a matchy matchy look is to get different color battery covers.
