vtc mini

Hey guys, I just got myself a new VTC mini. It's smooth, cool and everything. But i have that Bypass Mode as option and I don't know what it is, can someone clarify that up for me ? What is Bypass mode? what is it used for ? what ares the pros and the cons etc... Thank's in advance. Cheers,
