My gut feeling is..that is an ambush/robbery ploy. It's happened on CL.
Pretty easy to do, especially in a scene like that who aren't going to call the cops....

Funny thing, I think this whole persona we're chasing is fake.

1. It didn't exist before about a year or so ago.
2. That phone number is listed in a fake db and lots of other places.
3. the 29399 in his email and usernames references a big area in Clearwater, FL
4. what 25yo guy didn't have an online presence dating back past more than two years?
5. claims he's from FL but moved and is Russian on the airsoft board but his YT clearly has little RUS accent

His twitter is interesting...seems angry and stalkerish...

A great way to get anyone who tries to scam you, is to get their phone number, post it in every city under the category listed " male 4 male" , and let the creeps of craigslist do the rest. Your scammer will get HUNDREDS of calls per day, and will be forced to either change their number, or comply with what you want them to do. This is also very good for the jackasses that leave you negative feedback for no reason, as they will make it positive in a hurry.

I think that scamming turd may of just fucked over the wrong people. I have a feeling he's going to get outed and hounded by pissed off vapers where ever he goes.

John Martin is in jail in NJ on no bond waiting extradition to GA. We are currently working with several agencies on this case. It is very important that if you have had dealings with him you contact me. We are looking for a federal indictment at this point. The more witnesses we have the better. Thanks!!
