I've had this 17 gauge electric fence wire for years. It never rusts. The label on the spool does not indicate which type of SS it is. Has anybody ever tried using it on a mod? I am in no hurry to rebuild my coils, but want input.

I've sniffed around and it seems that it can be pretty much anything, I wouldn't use it. Quality Sandvik SS is pretty damn cheap, I personally wouldn't chance using your spare electric fence wire when quality Sandvik SS is so cheap.I've had this 17 gauge electric fence wire for years. I still have to ask, with how cheap good quality Sandvik SS is why chance recycled fence wire that you have no idea of it's chemical make up is? Seriously why? There is no coating. I've scraped some up pretty good while installing electric fence to contain a German sheppard. It still never rusted.
Looking at some of what I've seen on VU, it looks like 24 gauge is better. I think I'll order some from a vape shop online when I need it. There is no hurry, as I have 3 mods I can use.
I was wondering if anybody tried it, and what results they had.I still have to ask, with how cheap good quality Sandvik SS is why chance recycled fence wire that you have no idea of it's chemical make up is? Seriously why?
