What type of wire is that? I hang out in sub ohm dimensions. Tell me about the vape profile.

Kanthal wire - 32 gauge, ~16 loops around 1.5mm drill bit. Nice flavorful clouds. I also do sub omhs for my RDA, but this is for a Kayfun tank atomizer.

Well, it doesn't look as purple, but still purple. Got to thinking about this yesterday driving home from work.

5 ohms at 8w? How long does that take to heat up?
Any news? Just seems like such a power drain, but I'm noob at all things power related.

No, I've seen no response and asked some people who've been vaping much longer than myself. They just looked at me like I had a second head growing.

I'm just not seeing the benefit of higher ohms, I guess. I'm not a sub-ohmer at all, but I want pretty quick results and can't see how that'd happen this high. Just curious, really.

*giggles* I thought that like.. you missed a dot or something..
hmm.. for that many coils and that high of ohms.. just how long does it take you to warm up? umm your coil, that is :p

Instant as a light bulb, though the tank never gets hot or even warm. 32ga ftw.
Warms up quickly because of the 32 gauge, but what a cold vape at 8watts. That would be awesome at 20-25 w. Like you said , never gets hot. Or even warm. So if that's what you're looking for. GREAT.
Now if it was a 22 gauge 16 wrap, that would take forever to heat up, but would be a killer vape once heated. At 80 watts!!!!

The purple is because of the camera. Ive seen that before, looks cool though.

Never heard of vaping at those levels before, if its safe, why not?

I build an LM2596 mod for the car several years ago. LM2596 voltage is appr. 1.5 volts under supply voltage with a 3 amps limit. Used 4 ohm to 5 ohm coils at 12 to 16 watts to play. Keeping the LM2596 within the voltage and 3 amp limit.
The one problem I encountered was the required voltage of 7.7 to 8.9. This limited me to the 12 volt supply.
IMO, flavor and vapor was par to my setup today. lol, and I'm not tethered to the car

Don't most regulated devices have a maximum resistance they'll support?

great question and that looks like a pioneer4you device. I thought that all IPV's 1-3 had a max of 3 ohms
