I read what Dr Phillips had to say about all this, from that link above, and I especially like one thing he pointed out, that there really aren't any good guys here -- Ms Neeley was evidently one of glantz's acolytes, believing all that anti-vape shit wholeheartedly, and the paper in question is probably on that topic -- so her problem here is a very clear demonstration of "lay down with dogs, get up with fleas." But maybe this contretemps will shine some light on the entire scam being perpetrated by Glantz, his acolytes, and by extension, the university employing them, bringing some much-needed scrutiny to all the lying they're all doing.
