Well, I got ONE right.. George VI's first name, because I knew he went by "Bertie" to his friends.

So. I was mad at hubby last week. So much so that my entire body was trembling. I needed to do something to get out of the house and away from him for a while. I could have driven around but I had no place to go. Walmart? Hell, I'd buy a whole cart full of stuff. One exercise I'm to do for my back is walk every day if possible, little by little. My first walk was 12 streets there and back total and I was exhausted. I hadn't walked since.

So I got my sneakers on and just bolted out of the house without a word. I went for a walk. I didn't know it was 105 degrees that day. I kept walking. I felt like Forest Gump. I walked 3/4 of a mile and had to stop at the dental office that was backing our main street. I was sweaty, told the front desk about my back and why I had walked. She offered to drive me home as she lives a few street just north of me. I declined. I get a text from him, "Are you okay? Are you alright?" I told the gal again. She told me I should at least say "No". I didn't want to text back, but I told him no. He said he could see where I'm at and was coming to get me. I texted back, "Forget it. I'd rather walk". (Chuck and I use Life360 so we can see where each other is at all times in case of an accident, flat tire, see him approaching Walmart and text him to stop there to pick up whatever, and anything else. It's an awesome app for the phone and PC.)

When I exited the business I saw his Jeep but looked straight forward and began walking back home. Every time I found shade I'd stop to cool off. The walk back seemed much shorter but I was quite light headed. My legs were like Jello. I walked 1.5 miles!

Moral of the story: Know your limits! Do NOT walk that far in scorching hot weather. I could have closed my door, take a chill pill, listen to soft music, put on my diffuser with honeysuckle...nah. I was too pissed off. I'm too old for this shit.
