Almond Crescent Cookies

Hey all!

First post in the DIY forums as I'm just getting started and looking for maybe a starting point. I'm looking to find a flavor similar to my grandmothers almond crescent cookies.

In her recipe was butter, crushed almonds, almond extract and powdered sugar coating.

The buttery taste is heavy and the almond taste almost alcoholish but not like a drink. I imagine that came from the extract. Any ideas on a starting point?

Looking forward to getting into this, I've already ordered some supplies for a few recipes here on the forum!
