Aspire K1 Coil Build Problem

Hi, this is my first post and I am a noob to vaping so please go easy on me.

Ego battery

I am using a Aspire K1 atomizer and I want to rewind the coil.

I have watched a couple of videos on youtube to see what to do.

I am using Japanese cotton and 28 gauge kanthal wire, 10 wraps on a 2mm drill bit which should be 1.8 ohms.

My fingers are really a bit big for things this small but I am managing.

The problem is they taste burnt, I can see a little scorching on the cotton. The last one built did not show signs of burning but still tasted slightly burnt.

I am torching the coils and they look good and tight, and there is plenty of juice on the cotton.

Can somebody please give me some idea of where I am going wrong.

You are trying to put to much heat to the coil. Coil can not handle the watts you are putting to the coil. That kinda coil I would not go over 12 watts or so. CHEERS!
