Switching to RTA/RDA and DIY your juice will cut your expenses down considerably.

A carton of ciggs is $50.00, I smoked that and more each week. If your spending that much on vaping I bet you have a huge collection of mods.

I stuffed my own cigarettes using bulk bags of tobacco and filtered tubes. After the initial expense of buying the "Top" machine, I spent approx. $40 a month on tobacco. Now I spend around $50 a month on juice and need to get it down from there!

Yep, DIY is the only way to go unless you have a lot of discretionary income to blow.

Exactly! That's what I'm doing in this section. Lurking around and reading all the threads to learn as much as I can about mixing juice, where to buy, etc... I would love to get my net juice spend down to $100 a year or less. Since I only vape 60-70 ml a month, menthol, I figure it's very doable.

It should be after the start up costs are over, it's a money saving deal. I figure that what I'm paying now is pennies on the dollar compared to the commercial stuff. I mixed up almost 800ml of juice a couple of weeks ago, and I bet it didn't take $3-5 worth of ingredients.

@MWorthington I just made 250 mls (24 mg) for total cost of $3.75 for Unflavored of course. Menthol flavoring would probably run you about $5 for a 30 ml bottle of flavoring and possibly yield you around 3000* ml of juice made with flavoring if that is what you only want. DIY is definitely worth getting into. I vape for under $5 a month with DIY. Hope this helps. * your mileage may vary.

Shortly after I made the post above I ordered my first DIY supplies. To begin with I ordered 1 liter of 18mg nicotene in a 50/50 mix and 30ml of fa arctic ice flavoring. Since then I've ordered some VG and a small bottle of PG. I also ordered a 250ml bottle of 100mg nic/PG base and 120ml of FW menthol along with 7, or 8 more flavors since that initial order

I just finished that original 1L bottle of nic base week before last and mixed up my first batch of 200ml 6mg mix out of the new 250ml bottle of 100mg nic PG base. I've saved a ton since I started making my own juice. I usually vape 25-30ml a day now, but back when this thread was new I was vaping around 60ml a month. Juice was costing me $25 for 30ml then and I was going through 2 bottles a month. Now I can vape all month for maybe $5. DIY is the only way to go. :)

I just started dabbling in DIY juice around the first of May. My very first venture ended up costing approximately $3 a week. I think I can live with that. :)

Even with the inflated costs I incur due to where I live, I still only spend $6-7 per week vaping as much as I want.

Thank you for bringing this up to the New Post scope! This is all I needed. Actually, all I need now is a couple of simple recipes, one or two flavors, and get to mixing.

You need some more fruits such as Fuji, Strawberries (lots to chose from), blueberries, etc. You'll find that the majority of recipes will have one or more of those in them, particularly the strawberries. Then you need some of the pastry type bases such as Biscuit, Sugar Cookie, Cookie, and Cheesecake Graham Crust. One of those four are found in the vast majority of recipes as well.
