Ho ho ho all you Goblin Mini lovers, the Bellus is here! If you haven't gotten one yet, flip the switch. Side airflow solves the condensation issues of the Gobler and the top fill is SOOOO CONVENIENT!!!
Set mine up with dual 26/36 NiChrome Claptons, 2mm, 5.5 wraps coming in at .262 ohms. Running 39.5 watts and today I'll be ramping up the power bit by bit. The Goblers couldn't keep up with wattage but so far the Bellus is rocking! Sorry, no coil porn. I was rushed building this rascal. The atty itself is well made, very clean and tight machining. Just like the Gobler, the Bellus delivers a dense, flavor packed vape. Love the rifled chimney and drip tip! Shit, I'll prolly buy another!

Vaping on one right now. Dual 26g NiChrome 6 Wrap Build at .43 ohms 31watts, I love it. The goblin mini is a great tank but this one has it beat hands down IMO.
Edit: Airflow and build deck are the biggest plus points for me.

I just set mine up for the first time yesterday. Mine leaks pretty bad after being top filled. I'm not talking about a drop or two, but a stream. Just happens after filling. Once I wipe it off, doesn't leak again until another to top fill.

I've been building coils for years. I have two Billow V2's that don't exhibit this same characteristics. Am I the only one this is happening to? Funny thing is, I really like the RTA, but won't end up using it if I can't find a solution.

I guess I could try not filling all the way or bottom fill. I'm going to try rewicking again, but don't think that's the problem. Seems more like a filling problem since that's the only time it's happening. I've tried it with air flow control both opened and closed with basically the same results. I even filled up a unicorn bottle to refill with, thinking my glass dropper was getting some in the chimney. To my dismay, it still happened.

Cheers,
Steve

Hey Steve,
I haven't experienced the problem of leaking when filling. Maybe I'm doing something different than you. When I initially build or when I rewick I soak the wicking down but good before I assemble the RTA. When I top fill I make sure the air flow is shut down. No leaks. Multiple top fill refills. Good luck.

First off, thanks for responding so quick. I really appreciate it. I'm researching like crazy atm. Seems like some people who had the same problem added more cotton (basically filling the juice channels). Another thing I've read, is after filling, immediately turning it upside down, then open the airflow, before turning it right side up. I'm going to try more cotton in a few minutes. If all else fails, I'll probably either bottom fill, or more likely toss it in the drawer and go back to my Billow V2's.

Happy Holidays,
Steve

I find less cotton works best I have just the tips of the cotton in juice well say about a quarter way down too much cotton and you will get the dreaded dry hit.

The other thing is to make sure you leave a bit of an air bubble at the top. IOW, don't fill the tank up completely with joose.
All the build tutorials I watched showed wick to the bottom of the joose channels just grazing the bottom of the deck but not protruding from the chimney. It's worked for me.

That's the way I've been doing it Richard, basically the same way I've been wicking my Billow V2's. It's just happening after filling. Once I clean up the stream (I'm guessing it's around .5ml). Doesn't happen again until I have to fill. I'm getting great flavors, excellent air flow. Other than the leaking immediately after filling, it's great. I'm pretty sure I'll figure it out after a little more trial and error.

Thanks again everyone for the quick responses.

Cheers,
Steve

I was wondering if maybe I'm trying to fill too much, going to give leaving a bit more space a go as well. I basically am going to fill only as high as what it ends up being after the initial leaking. Heck, I'm going to try everything I can think of until I fix the problem.

Thanks,
Steve

Just a quick update. I re-wicked it using quite a bit more cotton than I would in my Billows. Might have went a little overboard, but no leaking whatsoever. Looks like it was a wicking problem after all. Might come down to the simple fact, the thicker your juice, the less you need to pack the juice channels and vice versa. I'm using 60-40 to 50-50 atm (VG/PG). The only problem now is the flavor seems a bit muted. Like I said, I think I went a tad overboard on the cotton. Easy enough to remedy, just a tad less, but so much less it leaks.

Cheers,
Steve

Glad you got it sorted every different tank has a different wicking method its just figuring what works best.

As long as the wicks sit on the shelves it won't leak. Any further and they leak like crazy. I enjoy my Bellus, but the vape is so much smoother with the Goliath V2.
