When I first heard about this I figured it was wrong to jump to conclusions so I waited to hear his side of it....then again, being convicted twice and having served time for these convictions pretty much kills any defense he might have had to offer...but, I wanted to hear it nonetheless....
I gotta say, IMHO, he did nothing to help himself during the broadcast....I got the clear impression from what he said and how he said it that he felt like the victim, the girl at the party tricked him as he didn't know her age (tough shit, as a man in his mid 30's its on you to know her age, end of story), he said, and he just wanted to move on and all this stuff to be forgotten...
I was surprised at how many people and even at least one sponsor seemed to support him...some folks that didn't accept his explanation or answers and piped up had their chat purged, some were banned...it was a fiasco at times...
I personally, didn't buy into his BS...at all...as the father of a 12 yr old daughter, he wouldn't be walking around if it were my kid...I said it in chat, and I'll repeat it here...when you get out of high school, you stop trying to screw high schoolers....if you do, either someone's dad is gonna take you out or at the very least, you will be arrested, convicted, and spend the rest of your days being shunned by society...and that's as it should be....that's my belief...YMMV...

Apparently he went on Nova to defend himself yesterday but I missed it... Anyone know anything about that?
I saw it...his story was a bit more believable...from what I could gather, he said his ex set him up with a disk of kiddie porn in his computer desk drawer...he said that a public defender convinced him to plead guilty to get probation and he was on the child sex offender list....some time later, he was able to address it again, get his record cleared, and was taken off the list...apparently, the sex offenders registry shot from Georgia we saw was from an archive that had been removed some time ago...a search for him now turns up no record at all. I'm not sure how much of his story I buy, but it was at least somewhat plausible...he did confront it head on, took his beating on air, and no one got banned...I'll give him that at least...
