Bit-o-honey is my jam! Does this REALLY taste like Bit-o-honey? If so, you'll have made my year.

Ugh, I only has honey. Great now I need some INW with my FA order. I've been trying to do something with nutty princess, no luck so far

All Inawera- drops are from the Inawera needle bottle

2% Honey
2 drops (.3%) Nougat (in how much base?)
2 drops (.3%) either Amaretto or Hazelnut (in how much base??)

I'm tending towards liking the hazelnut better, but mixing them was good too. Needs about a week.

Notes for FA people..Since real Bit-o-honey uses almonds, but not almond extract, FA fans might like FA Marzipan in place of the Amaretto/Hazelnut. FA Marzipan is that distinctive almond nut flavor, sweetness, and a honey background. If using FA Honey here, I'd start way lower than Inawera's 2% (0.5% might be plenty of this extraordinarily-strong FA flavoring*). Inawera Nougat is an entirely different flavor than FA Nougat (Torrone), so they're not interchangeable. (*EDIT..I experimented and found FA and Inawera Honey are roughly the same strength in this recipe)

I have been playing around with this recipe since its a beloved candy of mine. I am working with all Flavourart.
3% FA Honey
2% FA Torrone
2% FA Hazelnut
1% FA Marshmallow
1% FA Almond

I am not completely happy with the nuttiness. Its not peanut buttery enough IMO. But this seems pretty close to me. The almond really helps give it a little butter flavor and I don't have the marzipan but that might be good. More honey starts to move away from the candy flavor so I'd add more marshmallow for sweetness if you want to kick it up. I'm interested to see what steeping will do.

edit: Sorry if there is some etiquette for these recipe threads about posting variations in other peoples threads. Just let me know.
