Can a magnetic charge make a mech stop working?

Happy Thanksgiving to all. As the title says... Yesterday, all my mods or RBA's just stopped working. I'm finding that this is very weird. Does anyone know any thing about this. Here's a clue... I got a new mech the other day and it has two very strong magnets. The day before things started happening, I was looking at the firing button on my new mod and the whole switch came apart. Now almost everthing metal on my desk is magnetized.

Any ideas?

Simple answer... no. Magnets are a button pressure substitute for a spring. Some mechs use magnets to conduct electrical current, and some don't. While a loss of magnetism may result in a reduction in button pressure, it would not cause a loss of electrical conductivity.
If you incorrectly reassembled the switch, you may have created a reduction of button travel and/or a loss of electrical conductivity... resulting in a no-fire condition.

This is a new one on me. I suppose stranger things have happened though. But I can't imagine magnetism interrupting an electrical circuit.
