Spider-Man's black alien costume has caused him nothing but trouble over the years. Not only did the suit betray him and wind up in the hands of his bitter rival Eddie Brock -- who became Venom -- it also spawned an even meaner and deadlier nemesis in the form of Carnage. This bloodthirsty sadist has racked up quite a body count over the years, and even the Avengers have been hard-pressed to bring him to justice.
For a long time, it seemed as though Carnage was set to appear as the main villain in Venom's solo movie. That no longer appears to be the case -- find out about the film's bad guy, Riot, right here -- but it's doubtful the new Sony universe of Marvel Characters will get very far without an appearance by Cletus Kasady/Carnage.
