Too much... I got it for $25, but I see it for $37.50 now.

I mostly shop MVB (I love their Gwar Fluids line) and I recently found Slims eJuice (which is similar to MVB but with more extensive/personalized options), but when I want a flavor I can't get anywhere else..... Well, somebody's gotta vape it. Might as well be me! Lol

Blue Moo is good (I got it as a 0mg freebie). I haven't tried Admiral Berry Crunch. I should try that one.

I have not had the Castle Long Reserve yet but I have regular non barrel aged Castle Long and I love it. I am a Five Pawns fan. My daily vape right now is Five Pawns Perpetual Check. I am not a big fan of all the super sweet fruity liquids. I like more spicy rich flavors. This is why I like Five Pawns. They are more expensive than allot of brands but you are also getting a much bigger bottle, 30ml instead of 15ml but more expensive none the less.

Personally, if Five Pawns sent me free juice....I'd send it back. NO JUICE is worth $37, just saying

Regular flavors are $27.00 but I don't blame you for not paying that either. I have only been vaping for a few months and i am a very busy person. When I go to a juice shop and try out flavors I hate 99% of them. It is time consuming to find something I like. So for now I don't mind paying for something I know i will enjoy. even if it only cost $2.00 to produce.

I got some Castle Long for the wife when we were on Vacation, and I enjoyed it also. Was a nice treat, but not an ADV at 27.50 for 30 ml. I now make my own and it cost me about $2 for 30 ml. Another of my ADV is an Absolute Pin clone.

The DIY thing sounds great and I am sure I would enjoy it but I don't have allot of spare time for another hobby.

Have you tried using any of the clone recipes on this forum and plugging them into MVB make your own juice option? Does it work?

I got my Five Pawns clones here on VU, they were posted by LadyRed69. I ordered all the flavors, nic and VG and mix them myself. For my ADV I mix 100 ml bottles at a time. The castle long I normally have 200 ml mixed so when I open 1 bottle I mix another, that way it haste a week or two to steep.

I'll say this much...

I'm hugely impressed with Five Pawns branding. Their choice of fonts, logos, and naming conventions are all brilliant. They definitely get an A+ for their marketing efforts, and it takes a lot to impress me.

I also got mine on sale for Black Friday. I would've never paid $37. It's what I call my "Special Occasion Juice." Definitely not an ADV for me.

It's tasty stuff. My fav is Queenside, I've managed to find a few clone recipes. That blood orange mixture is good stuff.

You guys have definitely piqued my interest. There's a vape lounge about an hour away from me that I'll be checking out this weekend while the wife does some Christmas shopping. They carry Five Pawns, so hopefully there are some samples. I wanna see what all the hubbub is about!

If I end up liking this stuff, it may be the final push to get into DIY juice for me. It's way too expensive.

Try Boden's Mate as well as Castle Long. I just did a MBV order and added a bottle of build your own flavor based on one of the DIY recipes for Boden's Mate. Hope it comes out remotely close.

At some point I will try DIY juice but no time right now.

It's also out of stock (unless you want 0mg...and they only have 2 of those left).

Hello, I've been a lurker for awhile and decided to sign up and chime in. I enjoy castle long as well. I'm not sure if it has been posted but ejuices.com is having a 30% off entire order 48 hour sale right now. I just checked castle long was in Stock in 12 and 6 mg. 18 is sold out. Code is humpday. They have many other gourmet juices as well.

Well, I mentioned earlier in this thread that I would be driving to a vape lounge about an hour away today to sample some Five Pawns, and I did. Just got home (after a 12-hr long shopping spree with the wife, ugh). They had the entire Five Pawns lineup for sampling, and I tried most of them. Some just didn't appeal to me by description alone, so I didn't even bother with those.

Gambit was nice. It's described as basically an apple pie a la mode, and I definitely got that. I was not impressed enough with it to pay $27.50, though.

Bowden's Mate, I had higher hopes for. Mint/vanilla/chocolate flavor, but it was too strong on the chocolate for my taste. I wouldn't buy this one, even if it were a $5 juice. Very underwhelming in my opinion.

Absolute Pin was unique. I can't imagine that there's anything else like it out there, and it was difficult to nail this one down because the flavors are so complex. I vaped it several different times, and kept coming back to it after sampling other juices to try it again. I don't know if I would buy it or not, because I really can't make up my mind.

Sixty-Four was just awful. It's branded as a sort of mojito flavor, so I imagine if that's your thing, then you might like it. I felt like a four year old and wanted to say, "Ewww ucky!"

And then there's Castle Long. Unfortunately, they did not have CL Reserve, so I just sampled the regular version. All I can say is...Oh Em Gee. All the hype surrounding this juice is well-deserved, because it is incredible. Coconutty/vanilla/brown sugar/almond on the inhale, and a hint of bourbon on the exhale and aftertaste. VERY complex flavor, and very smooth, almost buttery. The bourbon isn't harsh at all. My wife loves the smell, and that's saying something because she hates my other juices (and I usually just vape Jolly Rancher and Spearmint, nothing major).

Castle Long will never be an ADV for me because A) price and B) it's a very rich, full-bodied flavor. A few vapes of it once in awhile as a treat, definitely. I used to sit and read about how great this stuff was and chuckle to myself, thinking there was no way e-liquid could possibly be that flavorful, but it really is. I just had to buy some, and am enjoying it right now as I type this!

I've said this above (I think), but I call Castle Long Reserve my "Special Occasion Juice". It's so good and complex in flavor, but it's so expensive! OFSO = Only For Special Occasions. Haha

Have you tried the regular Castle Long to compare it to the reserve? I'm curious as to what aging in a treated barrel does to the flavor. The people at the vape shop all agreed that as good as CL is, the reserve is even better.

First off, I really like whiskey but generally despise coconut. . .

Got a bottle of CLR for $30 at a local B&M, they are getting out of the Castle Long business as they can't sell it. Most people there are vaping NicQuid etc (Bleh). I believe the hype now. OM effing G. I've ripped through half the bottle since the 11th even though I said, "I'm only going to vape this as a treat." Yeah, other half is getting put away until I can order in some bourbon flavors to play around with this flavor profile. 10 out of ten for me.

Don't mean to resurrect an old thread but I just picked up a bottle of CLR yesterday and was very disappointed with it. I don't know if it's because i havnt had a chance to steep it yet, or because it's 0 nic, but all I taste is bourbon and coconut and truth be told I'm not a huge fan of either. I usually vape 3mg nic but all they had was 6 so I chose to go with 0 and I'm wondering if that affecting the flavor?

I was hoping the flavor profile would be primarily the vanilla/almond/brown sugar with the bourbon and coconut in the back end but that was not the case. Not only did I not enjoy the taste but it was almost gag worthy. I'm a huge fan of gambit and grandmaster and those flavor a seem a lot more complex and full bodied than CLR.

Am I missing something?

I tried this years version a few weeks ago. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. From the description I thought I would go Yuk when I tried it but I didn't. Wasn't bad but not my cup of tea. It does however have a cult following. It's in my opinion for The Vape Connoisseur. Packaging, labeling, certificate, barrel number and initials of who made it was really cool. This would make a good gift for someone you know that vapes. Kind of like giving someone a bottle of Dom Perignone.

That's actually a good analogy since Dom P tastes weird to me yet it's praised by connoisseurs. Either way I'm letting it steep for a while before I try it again. Normally I would toss the juice but at $37 a bottle you better believe I'm going to try and make this work!

It grows on you lol. It wasn't that bad though. I vaped it for a day or so then put it away. I'll go back to it eventually but I'm a flavor person. I like Spitfire, the whole line has been good. I like peach vapes and they have a Kiwi-peach. I know what a kiwi is and what it looks like but I never had one. To my surprise it was awesome ! Vaped the whole 15ml bottle in a day. They also have a great tropical and bubble gum flavor. I also like Jaws by Hold fast. It's jawbreaker candy and it's spot on! So by these statements you can see what I mean when I say I like flavors. I don't like sophisticated or weird stuff. I'm not knocking people that do. that's the great thing about vaping. There's something for everyone!

I'd like to try castle long just for shits and giggles. But alas don't know any vendors in my area that carry it. I'll just have to be content with the excellent clone recipe for it I got here on the forum. Which I absolutely love. Ahh the things that us extra money deprived vapors have to settle for. AWESOME !!
