Wanting to know what simple dual coil build i can do that will produce the most vapor. No parallels or fancy stuff yet. I have a ipv2.1 50 watt box mod & haze rda, also have a chuff cap. For kanthol i have 26, 27, 28 awg. Ran out of 24. With 26 i usually do 8 wrap 2.5 mm ID .5 ohm. Would that give more vapor or would more wraps be better even though itll be higher resistance. Like say 10 wraps

IMO this is fine. Plenty of surface area for clouds and .5 ohms is a good amount of heat. The issue might be how you are wicking your build or your 20w limit.

Make sure you don't have cotton touching the outside of the coils. You need the air flow to go under the coils not just on top. Also make sure air vents are inline with your coils and coils are in the middle or a little higher when you look through vents.

If you'd like try adding one more wrap to bump up to .7 ohms or so. Your device might be limiting voltage to protect from failing.

Let me know if this helps.

I know you said no fancy stuff, but try 28G parallel. Super easy to build, go for 8 wraps and I believe it was around .6-.7. Works GREAT in my dark horse. nice smooth vape with out much if any spitting. When I made my first parallel build it was an eye opening experience for me.

I have a sigelei 150 in the mail to me and 4 Samsung 25r and nitecore i2 charger. Got 24 gauge Kanthol. What build would be best for clouds. I was going to do a 6 wrap 3mm ID. Bout .3..would there be something better for clouds. I know surface area is key. I may get some 23 or 23 gauge next order I do

Are you going to do a dual set up?

Yup I started with a single coil now I've moved on to simple dual coils

24 gauge duals at 0.4 is pretty good around 50-60 watts, not too taxing on the sigelei or the batteries either. proper wicking is just as important if not more, than the coils itself

Here's a build I just did. Still need to finish but got exactly what I wanted 0.15 ohms. 24g parallel 6/7 wrap 3mm id on my Freakshow.20150602_192532.jpg

Nice looking build
Thank you. Its a great build for clouds but still gets flavor thanks to my wicking style and the Freakshow helps too lol. The same build on my troll or Mutation V2 is all clouds with air wide open. Get decent flavor on both at lowest air flow but the hit will be pretty hot. At 0.15 ohms I believe its close to 130-140 watts.

In what way do you wick to get the flavor ?

Instead of tucking both sides under tuck one between the posts and other coil straight down. This give a little more wick touching a coil for more surface area on coils. The one going under will wick up juice from well like normal. You still get air flow and now more flavor.

Try it and let me know what you think.

I got my sigelei 150, did 24 g 7 wraps 3 mm I.D .37. Using it bout 60-65 watts in my haze rda with chuff cap i find its a better vape then with regular top cap. Im wondering if 2.5 mm I.D like 8 wraps would be better. I was gonna do 6 wrap 3 mm ID but it looked pretty thin.. im going to get some 22g or 23 g i think.

I might try 2.5mm as well and see what happens. For sure though I don't care what people say, I've made great clouds with 22g. A lot of the cloud chasers I hang with use 22-24g only.

I got a .1 triple parallel 26g thatll put thicker gauges to shame. No ramp up time either.
I like 22g for sleeper builds on my dogev2.
26g is my fave to wrap with though, sky is the limit with 26g.

I've definitely got some decent cloud from 26g for sure. I just go through those coils to fast.

Is there a build i can do diffrent then my most recent post? Im not really interested in trying parallels yet. Ive got 24g 7/8 wrap 3 mm .37 65 w. If i go to 2.5 mm would clouds production be less? would say 6 wrap 2.5 mm be better by lower resistance? Or should i add wraps to 9 or 10 wrap 2.5 mm

With my 26ga wire i made a 3 wrap coil on a 3mm bit and it makes a good about of vapor at 40watts
