Yo, I impulsively bought a tfv12 and while I love the airflow and clouds these coils barely last me 3 days. Is this normal for these coils or am I fucking something up? If this is normal this will cost me a fortune and I wish I'd bought an rda

Buy the RBA deck for it. 3 days seem to be a short life span but I have been seeing a lot of post about the coils lately. Wondering if a bad batch got out.

Yeah I was thinking about buying the rba but I've read about flooding issues with it. Honestly if these coils would last me about 1,5 week I would have no trouble buying them

are you chain vaping like a steam engine? I usually poke a safety pin hole in each one of the cotton slots. That usually prolongs my coil.

I try not to chain too much but it happens. So i should just poke every cotton slot with a needle? and all the way through?

Edit: I don't chain it more than my rdta or my baby beast but those coils last way longer, I am on a higher wattage tho

Try one small safety pin hole in the middle of each cotton slot. It never hurts for more juice to saturate the cotton.

Below is a copy/paste of what I posted for a very similar question:

    1. Super sweet juice burns up coils because it caramelizes.
    2. High flavor percentages burns up coils because it causes gunk to build on them.
    3. Bakery types of juice burns up coils.
    4. Dairy types of juice burns up coils.
    How do I know this?
I vape about 45ml per day of 30% flavor, 2% VG based NIC, and topped off with VG.

I am not saying any particular juice is BAD, just saying you need to know what to expect when you choose your juice.

Yeah, I'm kind of bummed that sub ohm coils don't last very long. I'm on my 5th coil in just over a month. After watching a lot of youtube videos, I've followed the advice, and still only get a week max out of my coils. I've primed them good, done the pin hole thing, I vape at the minimum recommended wattage, wait a good 10 seconds between puffs so that the wicks could wet again, vape clear liquid, and still these coils don't last very long. I didn't expect the extra expense of always buying new coils all the time.

Now I've started to recycle these coils by leaving them in Everclear wood grain alcohol overnight, and invested in an ultrasonic cleaner. One coil was too burned to recycle, but the other three look alright to re-use.

I have been vaping some pretty sweet apple juice and lemon ice cream on them but I also did that with my baby beast coils

let me know how the recycled coils hold up because I feel like you would get maybe one or two extra days out of these coils for a lot of work

I tried putting my stock coils in us once, both leaked. Think it broke down the wick. If you clean coils after one day use you can increase life. What works for me is to rinse under warm water and then drop in alcohol for couple hours. Let dry overnight. Unless you do daily flavor will suffer. Especially with higher watt coils.
