Yep, getting more prevalent all the time too. There are now cordless electric lawn mowers, string trimmers, chain saws, etc, etc. Yet all of this stuff is hawked as "green", but somehow e-cig batts are a problem?

FWIW, Husqvarna packs contain 20 18650s (10s 2p).

No danger of venting there with 20 of them! You won’t hear anything if those blow up, however.

How is it green again? There will just be landfills filled with batteries if ppl don’t recycle them properly.

They’re scraping the bottom of the logic barrel with this.

Serious false information - it's proven time and time again, nicotine itself is not a carcinogen

Also, people of been throwing away cigarette and cigar butts for well over a century worldwide, and not just into landfills. Snuffed out on beaches, crushed into the ground, tossed out of car windows, etc as well as just dumping ashtrays into garbage cans or onto parking lots

Unsightly, stinky, yes - threat to the environment, hardly

Article says:
Likewise, the nicotine from vape cartridges in landfills can enter the waste stream leading to unprecedented exposure to the addictive substance. As is commonly known, nicotine can impose negative effects on the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, as well as lead to a decreased immune response and potentially cancer.

Exposure to the toxins in vape products can negatively affect resources such as water and crops, wildlife and people.

"Unprecedented Exposure"? Wake me up when the nicotine exposure people get from the "waste stream" is more that they'd get from a typical serving of eggplant.
