The whole "gateway to smoking" thing never made any sense at all. There's only one way such a gateway effect can happen, which is for government to to make vape goods more expensive and harder to get than cigarettes. So far, the only place that's done that is the progressive paradise of San Francisco. But in another nine months, when the FDA's PMTA deadline hits us, all bets are off.
