Dom, how do you like your faucet? We considered that one. What's the reach on that pull down?
Love the faucet. The pull down is as far as you want it. It can reach the bottom of the sink. Easy to install and probably works better than the $190 delta one. Customer service is said to be excellent. I registered it and got an email saying 5 year warranty successfully done and asking how I like it. I do think you would be hard pressed to find parts for it in the US. But reviews say people that had issues the company sent parts right away.

The brand is WEWE lol. $79 and the packaging is very nice. The sink is awesome also. Ruvati is the brand on that. Very well made and shipped in indestructible packaging.

I think there is a name brand that looks nearly identical to that one. If you have an Italian sink, you gotta know it had to be Mama approved. We scored on a dual SS sink. It was on clearance for only $89. Off brand, Franke. Good gauge, too. It's going in tomorrow with the new countertops. Oh. Chuck picked up a sink faucet 3 weeks ago. What the heck is it...Delta "Dunsley". Very nice and again on clearance for $139.

OMG, Lowe's has the same faucet that's voice activated! It can use Alexa or Google Assistant or their propitiatory app. Can turn the water on and off, pour specific amounts and even warm up using your voice activated device. $429. Jeesh!

Yes, @Countrypami. The reconstruction is still going on. We need to take our contractor to court. That's how bad it's been. Insurance company finally put a 60 day lid on getting this done. Apparently since we signed a contract with the contractor, insurance has nothing to do with that It's been hell here. The cabinets and countertops are the only thing that's been replaced. Oh, we did score on some used SS appliances from a client of a designer. $800 for French door bottom freezer fridge, Bosch dishwasher and GE Pro range/oven and a GE 30 inch microwave. The microwave is too big for the pantry.
:gaah:

As in milk jug? Man. And by hand? There are some that have been in that dish for 3 months. Does the jug have water in it or something?
It's an old powered coffee creamer bottle that I adapted the lid on. No, no liquid in the bottle... everything stays moist because I keep it sealed up.

Morning everyone. One more day to get through then it’s my weekend lol. Days off are all filled up for the next few weeks with doctors appointments and replacing two boilers in the house. Can’t complain though I got 25 years out of these units and they’re still working. Changing them before I have a major catastrophic event lmao. Have a good one and see ya later.

E2B44230-1FEF-48E9-A2D0-D47CBAA19190.jpeg Morning everyone. Nothing in the endoscopy yesterday so that’s good. Today off to the car dealer to bring the new car in (new used car) for a couple of things. My 2017 Taurus was like new but I’m never happy lol. Everyone in the family has a Lincoln so I wanted one. Traded my Taurus for a Lincoln MKZ with the 400hp engine. It’s like a rocket ship lol. My new project making it mine and different accessories. I like it but I didn’t have a car payment on the Taurus it was paid for but now I have a small payment on this. Whatever it makes me happy.

Great news!!.... If it makes you happy, right? Looks like a nice little car. I'll be trading in my Blazer soon, haven't decided what I want to get yet.

Holy cow! I installed TapaTalk yesterday and it hasn't stopped dinging all day! Gotta un-watch those threads from 2 years ago. :giggle:
I'm at the point to sell/trade my Caddy. Think I'll get something smaller that Chuck can easily work on. He used to be a car mechanic for many years. Buy something without a payment. I paid my Caddy off years ago. She's pristine red, sun roof, rear fin in cherry condition with only 36,000 original miles. KBB says only $3,500. WTF?

Congrats on your new baby, Dom!

Elton John Pandora tonight. My fave.

I bought two certified used cars lately. One for me one for my son. Looks like the way to go. Right after mine came in a 2017 MKZ came in that an old person had. It only had 5 thousand miles on it that’s like new ! They wanted $27,700 and the car was originally 46k. Plus they give you 6 years hundred thousand mile warranty. Only catch is it’s from the model year so a 2017 would be covered until 2023. Still better than the original warranty. My sons a 2018 MKC with 28k on it but it looks like brand new. Every time I get in it I swear I’m getting into a new car. When they certify it they go over everything. Both of our cars have all new tires brakes and rotors. That’s a big deal because now you won’t need tires or brakes for a while. Anyway. Have a good day everyone. Back to work today. At least I’ll get to drive my car lol. I already started customizing it so it don’t look like everyone else’s. Yesterday I put a front lip to make it look more aggressive and I have a rear spoiler coming from China if it gets hear with the corona virus thingy lmao

Wow! That's a good deal. I'll be looking at "certified" as well. Cars/trucks that were leased for only 1 year. I bought my blazer new in 2006. Today it only has 32,000 miles on it because I've worked from home for the last 13 years. But it's falling apart, we replaced all the tires last year solely due to dry rot.... then the wiper motor went, frame it rusting out, and now the power steering has gone out. I hate driving it because it hurts my back and shoulder. But Chris wants to keep it for himself and just get a new "family" vehicle. So we won't have a trade on anything new we get.

We're looking at the same thing with the Blazer if we were to decide to trade it in. Body in like new condition, but it's falling apart underneath.

Well, I completely blew my back out today walking around a storage facility looking for a space. The guy was walking so fast that I tried as hard as I could to keep up with him. I couldn't do it. I think it was the long strides I attempted. So, here I am, still in my day clothes unable to get up.

I'm glad I didn't really need the last cortisone pack my Doc prescribed.

You havta know I'm in bad shape if I can walk away from VU and pics of things I want to sell. Seriously.

Good morning! Had the granddaughter again last night.. It's amazing to me how she can remember where something is that she hadn't seen in 6 months!

Ouch! My chronic back pain is why I'm at my desk 16 hours a day. Only thing I can do that doesn't aggravate it.

Same here. I'm amazed i can sit in this chair for a few hours one night after feeling as though it was going to take a week to heal. I still have to take it easy today. I'm moving several boxes tomorrow into my new 5' x 10' storage space. Chuck has a bad back but not as bad as me. My friend has a bad back also.. This should be interesting.

Good morning! Got that hungover feeling like me? o_O Or maybe it's just the cold I got after watching the baby Friday night. Ugh... seems like every time I have her I end up sick with something! :(

Gooood morning!
My back feels good so Chuck and I are going to my friends house to remove the many boxes she has stored for me for 10 years. I can't believe it's been 10 years! I got a 5' x 10' which will work. That's where I hurt my back so I plan on being really careful how much I walk. Also, how much I lift. She'll be joining us with stuff in her truck bed, too. Was to do this yesterday but wanted to give my back another day of rest. I gave her a real, queen size full antique bed and a Drexel sofa/entry table with doors as a thank you.
Whoo-hoo! I finally get my stuff back in very close proximity to the house. I'll be diving in them once the house is finish in 60 days. :bliss:

Good morning!

Good afternoon, Pami! Hi Dom!

We're to have rain all week. Started last night and we developed quite the roof leak as it's been a pretty hard rain. We are wusses here in the lower valley metro area. When it rains like this people react like it's a blizzard and don't want to go to work or out at all. Got 2 towels down and 3 buckets. This will not be a good thing once our vinyl plank floors are laid next week. Now we need to find money to get the roof repaired. Last year we had an adjuster take a look at it and said it didn't need replacing. We have 2 layers of shingles, so it would have to be a new roof. Think we'll get them out here again.

Other than that, yesterday my back pain doc mentioned surgery since my back is getting worse and injections really aren't working. I'll get my last set of epidural shots on the 30th then I see a surgeon. I certainly don't want surgery but at this point I really need the pain gone or no more than pain level 3.

The vinyl planking is waterproof. One of the best new things made. Much better and way more durable than wood. I put it in my house and I live it so much I wanted to sleep on the floor and hug it lmao

One hour ago -
Trump announced a 30 day travel ban from outside the U.S.
NBA suspended this years season
Tom Hanks and his wife Rita diagnosed with COVID-10 in Australia

Everyone is advised to exercise social distancing or even isolation, stock up on food and necessities for an eminent 14-day home quarantine.

Also, social distancing is recommended as well as social isolation for the elderly age 60+ and those with a low immune system (i.e. asthma, copd, etc.)

This weekend is going to be insane.

Good morning!

This whole COVID-19 thing is so blown out of proportions. To a normally healthy person it's no worse than any other flu. The people dying it from it, according to the CDC, had suppressed immune systems or were elderly. No, I don't want it... hell, for all I know what I had a few weeks ago was it. But I'm not gonna hide from it either.

The NBA and NHL just suspended their seasons now. I see that as a wise decision considering how packed the stands are.

We're not in panic mode. But we have to prep if a 14-day mandatory quarantine is issued. We normally keep backups for some things. I have a friend who said she and her husband are already practicing social isolation. We do have a case here in Scottsdale where he was bar hopping one evening. Chuck and I are not considered normal, healthy persons. He has chronic asthma and I have acute COPD. We have a few N95 masks from when we were both sick. The hospital where I get my back injections gave a few which we keep in our vehicles and one in my purse. Just this week I was speaking directly to two people who sneezed in front of me using one hand to cover it. I couldn't help but think, "WTH??? Where is your damn tissue?" Knee jerk reaction.

We now have a confirmed case in my town... At the hospital I normally go to. Prepare, yes... I did place a grocery order for some basics that would get us through a 2 week shut in. And managed to find some toilet paper in stock (Not that I'm in dire need of it), we'll see if it's still in stock by the time my order gets filled on Saturday! Even Amazon was out of TP!

Since my post this morning... our Gov has shut down ALL Ohio schools for the next 3 weeks and ALL non business or church gatherings of 100 people or more.

Right now my risk factor is Chris... he'll be home off the road tomorrow and is NOT good about washing his hands. He's not sick, but crossing fingers he doesn't bring it home with him.

For all we know Chris and I have already had it. About a month ago we both got sick... fever, cough, and tight chest. Those are the exact symptoms of COVID-19. Chris had the cough worse than me, he's just now getting over it. Mine only lasted about a week.

Evening everyone. I agree with all of the above posts. My take on it is I’m not living in a bubble. If I get sick I hope I get better end of story. If I die it was just my time. Everyone has a pretty determined time they’re gonna die I believe. In the meantime have a good night and see ya later lol
