My father had me playing 'brushes' while he played his guitar when I was, gosh about 4-5 years old. My brother and sister, just toddlers played a box and something else I think. What do you mean in your karaoke days? I still sing karaoke at age 58. Still got the lungs for some songs now, thanks to COPD.
I've had my family addicted since 1996. Every family member has a full blown stereo component & a bunch of mics. I have over 2,000 songs in my collection. Not all country of course. The last 2 songs I remember being able to belt out was Faith Hills "If I'm Not in Love With You" and Shania Twain's " If You're Not In It For Love". I actually got a standing ovation at a large pubs both in Scottsdale and Prescott, AZ for Shania. Ha. On man came up to me at the Scottsdale bar and told me I sounded just like her and and wanted my autograph. Yeah, I think he has a few too many. lol
