Dented battery cylinder

I was getting ready to rewrap one of my 18650s as some juice had gotten inside the shrink wrap, but when I took the old wrap off, I noticed some tiny dents in the main body of my battery. Is this battery still safe to use? I'm running a mech mod, and I don't want anything to blow up in my face, but I'd rather not buy a new battery if I don't have to.

Apparently, my phone's camera makes images that are too large for this forum, so here are some links to the images.

Well, you were already running it just fine. A deep dent would make me want to duck & cover, but that looks like a manufacturing 'defect' which is likely only visual.

Welcome @therinrik and I hope you enjoy your stay~!

Like Poppa said it could be a manufacturing defect or maybe you dropped them when they had wraps on them. If it was me I would use them but I am pretty sure others will come along to offer their opinions but don't be surprised if you hear get them out of the house now~!

I recently discovered a dent in one of mine as well, it was literally the same exact situation. While I do still use them, I proceed with caution because it is not recommended to used dented cells. @therinrik Welcome!
