hey guys... pretty new to building, and was wondering what the advantages and disadvantages of the different metals wires are made out of? i know kanthal is most prevalent, but what's the best?

Kanthal and nichrome are simple resistance heating wire, usable in VV / VW mods.
Nickel, titanium are variable resistance heating wire, usable in temperature control mods. They're no better or worse than the former as far as vapor production is concerned.
