Dopvo M VV mod question

Can you use a sub ohm tank on a VV mod? it's the Dopvo M VV mod. it's my sons's and he doesn't build and uses sub ohm tanks. it just has 4 led lights indicating battery life. He's using it at no more than 2.5 to 3 volts. he's got the sony 3000mAh batteries in it.

thank you!!! he's using a cloud beast, I'm going to check the ohms. should be in the area of 0.1 to 0.15 hopefully
