First, congratulations on the year without tobacco. :) :confetti:I am secretly resolved to doing the same this year, for an actual whole year. Do not tell me, I am. It is a secret project after all. ;) :)

Sorry to hear your RA is being a brat. Cannot even imagine how rough that can be, even having the generic arthritis. Not sure how much help it would be yet I have heard some positive to soaking in an Epsom salt bath for nearly everything under the sun. Worst case? You get to look like a raisin for a little while.

everyone is fighting a battle of some sort

Yes, some even face those battles internally, deep where the I am lives. That dwelling spot is the heart if any are not aware. I have been dealing a good bit these past few weeks, stress, anxiety, worry all bottled up until it seeps out in a negative way. Got "stress stars", hand sized foam squeeze stars, today.

I was told to keep them as near as possible, use them liberally, use two if needed. Also got told, if I felt a need to be sure of reaching out. Kind of *chuckles* worries me, that the mental health adviser is concerned. Sorry, if I did not laugh it would not be life and living. :) I also have nabbed some classical music from that you tube site.

One of the main skirmishes involved our dogs and asshole neighbors. We live in the county where there are no leash laws. But we need to pen or tie our dogs out to shelters, according to the neighbors wants via the sheriff & dog warden. *sighs* Yes, we've a pen built for them. They kept exiting it though and we got sidetracked money / time wise on how to get it built to avoid escapes. We let them enjoy being loose, within reason.

Guess dogs being dogs and chasing cars on a side country road clearly marked at 25 mph couldn't be stood by the locals. Oh well, I got them penned now. Got stress stars, too. It'll be okay. :)

That sounds vaguely pornographic :giggle: :giggle:

Ever the sweetheart you are though
Glad it wasn't just me who thought that, sounded very erotic :teehee:

Morning, white over this morning, 2 hours later rain came and it's all gone, typical UK weather. My little daughter wanted to build a snowman, then blamed me for cleaning all the snow up

Used to think such a thing of stress being a powerful health problem a bit of a joke. As I am feeling it, the tension from it, make exit can realize it is no joke. I am feeling a lot less since yesterday around 14:00 EST, and going to sleep around 3:00 am last night. :) Actual genuine relaxing, whew, it feels nice. :) Like I told my wife it is my dumbness, worrying over crap beyond my control. Yes, I know better. Call it a husband's prerogative. Most husbands if honest can admit to doing it.

I think you're right. When we realized that we were going to be a little tighter money-wise than we've been for the last couple yrs, my husband started regressing to "heap big asshole worried about money"... but I set him straight pretty quick -- we are NOT "hurting for money," we just won't have quite as much to play with; we can still eat and pay bills, no sweat, so there is no reason to be such an asshole and take it out on me, because I didn't cause it! In fact, I'm the one who's dealing with it, and trying to moderate it, so BE NICE TO ME! He recovered pretty well. :D

Hey... if any of y'all have a CapitalOne card... check your statements very carefully; we just discovered an ongoing series of fraudulent transactions on my husband's; none of them very large, so small that we never thought to question them, but they go back to at least June of 2016. This only popped out at us because we're trying to pay his card down and not use it, so when I checked the balance because he wanted to buy something inexpensive, it was very evident that SOMEONE has been using it -- just not us, or him. They're going to refund the money fraudulently spent, and any interest associated with them, once their investigation is complete. When you check your statement, the names of where the money was spent will be different, but they all have the same merchant number -- that was the tipoff.

You might should check it.

What worries me the most is that he uses it almost entirely on Paypal, for ebay transactions. Paypal has always been a bastion of security, but this is making me question if they have some kind of problem. We're going to update his paypal acct with the numbers on the new card that was sent, and then not use it for a while, to see if anything else pops up. I think he *has* used it a time or two at actual stores, and that might be where the problem came from, but till we know for sure, we're going to just not use it at all, and see if anything else pops up, after updating his paypal acct.

That's scary. The only reason I have paypal is to donate to the e-forums.

Well, actually I kinda doubt that it's from Paypal, because they ARE a bastion of security... but since that's where he mostly uses that card, I have to question it, and lay a trap for anyone brave and foolish enough to jump in it -- because Paypal WILL be on them like stink on shit, I know that for a fact, from a hosting company that tried to rip me off via Paypal.

Well that's good to know! I read the above too quickly so I misunderstood (as usual). I HATE ADHD! Grrrrrrrrrr. Takes me forever to read anything and then when I do, 1/2 the time I misunderstand it.
Ok, vent is over. :tantrum:

Hey sweetie! !!!!!!!
I got wta ejuice.
Hey Morely, what are stress stars?

Little hand sized foamy stars. It's the real firm foam you can squash and it retains it's form. Quite helpful indeed. :) As the tension left me yesterday evening, a jammed finger popped itself back into place. It had been staved out of place for about three or four months. I almost blacked out in joy, release in hearing and feeling it pop back into its natural place. Oddly, dense me didn't realize it had gotten staved to start with. *smh* Never know about me, I get all kinds of dinged and buggered up just piddling around. *chuckles*

Well me and her usually agree that we don't worry about money so much. Why worry if you don't have it, you don't. If you got it, why worry? It'll spend away soon enough. :) For me it has been a lot of little stuff to bigger stuff, life and our situation in it in general. Been feeling like dead weight despite knowing I'm not. You know how husbands are, "am I doing right by her? am I taking good enough care of her? ... etc.".

Her new Jeep is setting in the driveway. I pulled the hubby foot down due to safety concern. She needs some work done on it which I think warrants the caution of not letting her drive it, unsafe.

Yes to some degree a concern is the money. But it's not all that either. We're Appalachian and known poor all our lives. That might be it too, just worn out from more of the same being more of the same. Been looking over Cobol more so, see that it seems pretty straight forward as far as programming languages goes. I'll piddle more, possibly see to getting certified at it, hang a freelancer shingle ... maybe. :)

For now, I'm going to nuke an arsenic patty and slap it twixt two pieces of bread with glowing processed cheese product. Yum Yum! :) Then, finish laundry up. Might rustle a fire going. Think I finally got the dogs fully penned in, at least until ... :) Run 'er slow dalin.

Well, I just assembled the budget for next week's payday, and it's actually not bad. Part of the reason it's not bad is that we don't pay insurance in Jan and Feb, and course our mixed-media charges are a little more than a $100 less than they were with Comcast -- the bill is about $8 higher than I expected, but that seems to be explained by the various taxes and goobermint charges, which they never tell you about, up-front. And then when we do start paying the insurance again in March, we'll have that little bit of savings to pitch in $25-$50 if necessary, and he generally gets a little bit of landscaping work in the spring, for a couple of our friends -- which is why we have a truck; it's much easier to convey large amounts of mulch, or carry away yard trimmings, with a truck.

So I think it's doable. :)

Feeling your pain Mist. Backyard dog, front yard dog are getting out of my fences. It's winter and all the brush has died so it's easier for them to find ways to escape. No more thorns on the rose bush. No more cats claw. My band aide fixes haven't been enough I guess.:xD::cry:
