Ego-C problem

Hello. I'm not new to vaping but I have a question. Yesterday i got a 650mah ego-c upgrade and with it came a standard usb charging cable. I use a 5V 1000mah wall charger I got a while ago. The problem is the usb connector on the battery heats up a little. It's just warm, not hot but I recently read about exploding batteries, burnt out wall warts and it kinda scared me. I bought ego-c so I can vape while it charges, but is it safe? Shoud I use my phone's 5V 850mAh wart instead?
Thanks in advance.

Warm is normal. I use my phone charger sometimes - just whatever is handy. But, I just went and checked and every wall wart that I have-iTaste, Joyetech, eLeaf, generic & iPhone- is a 1000mA. So, I'm thinking that output is fine. Maybe @Countrypami will see this thread - she's the VU eGo Guru.

Slightly warm is normal.

No worries IMH.

Great question though!
