My vote is for the Evod, but hubby prefers the Ego. I do love your collection!

@misswish .. I like them both... some clearos give a really clean look on the Evod and I like the button better on the Evod... but, if you wanna do anything with charms you need the ego.

Hi @Suzette Foster and WELCOME to the Vaping Underground!!

On making the swtich... I see your a little over a month in... you must be feeling the difference by now.

Unfortunately, not much in the vaping world comes with manuals. Usually only Variable Voltage or Wattage devices.
We'll be happy to help you out... post a pic of your setup.. we'll tell you exactly what you have and help with any issues you may be having with it.

New to posting much less to post a pic but I'm still tryin LOL...I love vaping!! But the ejuice here is too high for me to vape it would be cheaper to go back to cigarettes so I have finally ordered some online hope with holiday it comes Monday I just am having trouble with knowing if I should go to the variable watt/volt. And the coils...ones on top like I have or bottom coils cuz from what I read it is mixed a lot say they have to change out in a week with the bottom coils that is really what I'm struggling with

If your juice is too high nic you have two options... add some pg to thin it down... or buy another bottle in a low nic and combine the two.

To add a pic... it has to have a URL.. I home my pics on Facebook or Photobucket. Once you've done that... place your cursor where you want the pic inserted at then click here...

insert the URL and click INSERT. Waalaa... pic is added.

As a new vaper... I recommend you KISS.... Keep it Simple Stupid. Less is more.. you don't want to overwhelm yourself with too many options. Get some simple egos or ego spinners. There is a very broad spectrum of clearomizers, tanks, glassomizers out there. Here a few of my favs... GS-H2 or H3, Protank II, Evod, Vivi Nova, Aspire BDC. Any of these will provide a satisfying vape without a lot of hassle.

As far as Coil Type.. this is trial and error. You really need to try a variety of Clearos to figure out if you prefer a top dual coil, or a bottom coil. I use both, some juices (generally thinner, higher pg juices) taste better to me in a top wicking clearo. Thicker juices (higher VG) taste better in a bottom coil. If you are using any type of Clearo I do not recommend juice that is over 60% VG.
I prefer 2.0 -2.4 Ohm coils. That's my preference. The lower the Ohm... the hotter and faster it heats up (too low will cause your juice to taste burnt). I have found 2.0-2.4 is my sweet spot.

I hope this helped!!... For more detailed info please see our New Vapers Start Here section of the forum. There is a ton of useful info here for folks just starting out.

I'm 14 months into my vaping and still use my egos daily, along with an evic and a vamo. I like to have 4 flavors at my disposal. I like my egos when driving, them being small. For tanks I still use my evods and protank 2 minis with the ego bats.

I still use ego/evod batteries all of the time lol
I have plenty of mods, and such, but I like the convenience of the size of ego/evod batteries for carrying.
Of course, I usually use the spinner types, but these size batts fit nicely in the cargo pocket of my carpenter pants.
Makes it easy for carrying when out,and about.

I'm having an issue... I take ego batts to work, way more practical for me (stealth). One died, replaced it with a vv3. Now the other is acting up. It still works, but the draw time is cut in half before the button starts flashing. Yes, I could take more frequent, shorter draws. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this, or is it also about to die? I mean, I know they aren't ultra expensive or anything. It's just under a year old, so could be it's time.

Make sure your charger and drip well are cleaned. If the charger is not connecting properly, then it wont charge the battery completely. Just take a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol or electronics cleaner and wipe both of them out.

Egomama is absolutely correct!... Keeping the charging points clean is a must if you want to extend the life of your battery.

I use a lot of spinners/vv's... I find a lot of the time, the flashing is caused by over tightening of the clearo/tank. Try backing your clearo/tank off just a smidge... not enough to make is loose or jiggle... but just so it's not too tight.

Also, if you are using a higher ohm coil (say 2.4 or higher) and have your VV set at a low voltage.. this will also cause the flashing cause the coil is demanding more power than what the battery is supplying.

Thirdly... Ego/Evod/Spinners do have a limited lifespan of charges. They are only ONE STEP up from being disposable. The older they get... the less they will charge until eventually they just won't hold a charge at all. If this battery is almost a year old and has been your main go to battery... it has probably reached the end of its life cycle.

Just a quick note and most certainly not an attempt to highjack what I am sure will be a very popular thread, make sure to dispose of your dearly departed eGo's properly when they do go.

We keep a box of dead household battery's and we turn them in once a year for proper disposal and eGo batteries are gladly accepted as well.

Yeah it's one of 2 of my take to work batts. At home I'm usually on the vv3 or MVP.

I agree uncle RJ. Local vape shop accept them too.

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions!

I bling my eGos with fingerprints and dings, lol.

I like eGos so much because it's cheap to collect a load of them in various colors. I use different colors to remind what flavors are loaded. Green battery + red tank = watermelon, like that. There are at least a half dozen nearby, everywhere I go.

one time I think an ego battery lasted me a couple week lol. Im way to hard on them. I bet I spent 300 hundred bucks on them before I broke down and bought a lava tube. that lasted 3 days. finally got a mech mod. so far 3 out of 4 can take the abuse I give them

Relatively new to the vaping world (3 months) and even newer to y'all so my opinion is still growing, but I love my skinny sticks. Evod, Ego T, Vision Spinner, and even a couple of elcheapo clones....

I still use them, and like them a lot for portable, concealable discreet vapes.

With the new vision 1600's, and the carbon fibre aspire 1600's; there's really no downside to using the slim style batteries. Heck, I still use the 1100mah ego twists on the go. :)

Do you prefer one over the other? I've been eyeballing/wanting both, but for now, one will do. I love the looks and features of each. Price wise, I found the Tesla cheaper so far.

Two mods and what do I end up using? The damn ego batteries I got as a noob.
I have a phobia about dropping my heavy mods so I end up taking the ego batteries out of the house
and leaving the mods at home.

Yeah that's me. I don't use mechs or anything super pricey, but I don't use my MVP at work. I replaced one ego with a vv3 and I do really like that one. Now my other ego is dying and was looking into the spinner 2 or the tesla spider. Tempting to get both, but for now only one. Decisions, decisions... I really do like the ease of the ego batts. I use a lanyard at work under my shirt. Many "bathroom" breaks, lol.

gonna say I love the convenience of my little ego, the head wants to pop off of it, so I'm thinking about modding a little bit, but definitely gonna get a bunch more first, only one I've got right now so can't destroy my only vape, at least not till after tomorrow when my VV V3 comes in. I'll post a pic afterwards if my mod idea works out, it's definitely gonna be an interesting looking ego when I'm done with it.
