What is your favorite coil and setup for producing your biggest clouds?

For me, I'm doing quite well with dual 22awg NiChrome macro coils around .2-.3ohm in a Tugboat and 24awg in my Stillare but I'm interested to hear others' experiences. My only problem is that the entire RDA heats up and retains the heat too much to chain vape on it.

I used to have a Cryptex RDA a while back. You can easily chain vape a .2-.3ohm build and maintain a surprisingly cool vape where most others would just be too hot to keep going with ;)

Currently dual micro coils, 28 ga 10 wraps @ .65 ohms in an Igo W with the air holes drilled larger. Got it on a Nemesis with a 18650 Sony vtc4.
Def not a hardcore cloud chasing build but I blow huge clouds and can chain vape without it getting hot.

Man these ain't no cloud chasing coils. I run gplat elite 22g 5wrap dual coil center post or the same with 20g. Also same 22g gplat wire dual parallel. If you really want to get crazy then get the new sabertooth wire from omega wire. They do the pre twisted tiger wire and just came out with 20g, 22g, and 24g tiger wire. Now that's what I'm talking about.

1/10 ratio. I use 2mls for every 18mls nic 50/50 base (20ml bottle). I do most flavors @ a 1/5 ratio, but cinnamon red hots is just too intense, but cut in half, it's the closest to Tasty Vapors' Atomic Cinocide I've come to.

I would bow to your greatness, sir. However, I am not able to ascertain, through the clouds, in which way to bow as to prostrate myself before you! So, if you'll excuse me, I'll just walk away with my face and fingers intact!

18mg, cinnamon flavor, on a .2ohm coil? My throat and lungs just puckered up thinking about that.

Well, when you consider that I vape 36mg in everything except RDA'S, it's a step down in nic by half. And it's still better than smoking the cheapest crap I could afford for 27 years at 1.5-2 p.a.d.!

    20ga, 5 wrap dual at .095 horizontal.

Whoever posted the gplat/manganese both needs to check their info, and learn to science. Manganese has a transition temp of over 2000° Fahrenheit. My coil, at .095 barely hits 800° Fahrenheit. This is to say nothing of the toxicity of regular kanthal when it is vaporized. (Aluminum = carcinogen and teratogen. Chromium = carcinogen. Iron = causes chronic lung disease)

Take your chicken little propaganda elsewhere brainfails!

I get it: some people love gplat & some people are scared of gplat. I do not dislike gplat or anyone who owns/works for Gplat Wires Vapinology. I do not dislike anyone who sells or uses gplat.

The only thing that I dislike is dishonesty.

First of all, we would like to thank all the people who are supporting us since we started and until now. In short, yes, there is Manganese in the wire. However, it is a small component of the wire that is present in the other wires that are used for vaping also. We are unsure of why there is such a huge issue arising. Manganese is present in multivitamins also, therefore it is not bad for you unless large quantities are absorbed, inhaled, ingested, etc. The Vapinology team is currently working on clearing up the issue. We are in the process of generating a data sheet for the public to see in the next 24-48 hours.
Our wires are some of the safest on the market. We are attempting to provide the information that the public is requesting while keeping in mind that we are part of a "competitive" business. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

    G-Plat Public Announcement:

As all of you are aware, there have been some concerns that have been brought to our attention in regards to the composition and safety of G-Plat wires. We have spoken to the metallurgist at the facility in which our wires are being prepared and he has given us some insight regarding the “Manganese” content of G-Plat wires. Manganese has no part in the actual composition of both our V1.2 and Elite versions of G-Plat. However, during the manufacturing process, the wire is exposed to Manganese indirectly due to other types of wires containing Manganese being produced within the same facility.

Although it may seem as if a member of the G-Plat team issued a WARNING about the use of G-Plat wires, the conversation has been misinterpreted to make it seem as if G-Plat wires are a health risk. Our team member, knowing that our wires may have been exposed to trace amounts of Manganese, was only trying to look out for the best interest of an individual that stated he was allergic to the substance. With that being said, we would like to apologize for the delay in providing the information that the vaping community has been requesting. We are currently waiting on our metallurgist to provide us with the most accurate information about the wires (i.e. although Manganese is listed on the MSDS, it is not part of the actual composition of G-Plat wire). The information will be disclosed to the vaping industry no later than tomorrow evening.

We appreciate those of you who believe in our product and continue to stand behind us as we overcome this obstacle!

    Regards,

Mark Vape, Melmie Lincod & G-Plat Team

I just built a 24g 6 wrap coil in my kayfun that is putting out a ton of vapor, not quite as much as my dripper builds but it's nice to have a on the go build that can satisfy me without having to keep dripping constantly! So far so good, it isn't burning up the cotton like I thought it would lol!

Not quite sure yet, my ohms meter broke, gotta run up to the vapor shop tomorrow. I love the taste, and the vapor it puts out just wasn't sure if the cotton would hold up, does your 24g build work pretty good?

A Kayfun can only go so far cloud wise.
I wouldn't go much lower than .8 because I heard that too much heat can melt the insulator at the base and cause a dead short.
I have never had anything like that happen to me but I took it to .6 before and it didn't vape any better but got really hot. I just went back to .8.
From what I was told the kayfun is a flavor chasers device and for clouds you will be better off with a dripper.
Of course the Kayfun is awesome for going out. The tank is large and you don't need to keep fiddling with it to get a good vape.
I love my drippers but they are more of an at home, vape meet, vape shop, friends house type of device.

Thanks, I'm kicking the tires on a KF 3.1 right now. It's working rather well with a 1.3 ohm 7 wrap 28g coil. However, I plan on taking it down a notch or two to see if the wicking will keep up. Has anybody here tried 22g on a KF? I'm thinking of trying it out, but I see 3 potential problems: (1) 22g is fairly large gauge to fit under those small screws, (2) it would have to be a fairly large coil, for such a small working area, to be in a respectable ohm range for the device, and (3) I see major wicking problems occurring if the juice control isn't set wide open, but this would tend to cause it to leak if left for any amount of time. Still gonna try it out though!

Be sure to keep the coil off of the chimney. Also I have missed a small piece of wire before that got wedged between the positive and negative posts.
The metal is really close together on the posts. That shit was glowing like a light bulb when I went to pulse it!

Yeah, I bet it was! Have you ever tried a vertical coil in a KF? That might save the space issue.

Yea they really aren't meant for huge clouds, but it's much easier than using my dripper while I'm working on a/c units. I got my tobh at .18ohms right now, probably gonna tame it down a little bit my cotton is dry after 2 puffs. Chowder you might have a problem fitting 22g under the screws like you said, it was close fitting 24 under them, but still so far so good on the kf no burnt cotton yet, great vapor production, and excellent taste!

Personally right now I run 22g royalwire 6/7 wraps on 7/64 bit ohm @ 0.14. The wire seems to retain heat longer than kanthal and I have dropped down to 2-3 sec pulls for all my lungs can handle.

Honestly, I don't even need to go below .7 to get huge clouds. I run dual 28 ga kanthal micro coils with cotton wick in a Tobh Atty. It satisfies all of my cloud chasing needs, especially with the adjustable air holes on the Tobh. You can open it full bore on a fresh battery and fill up a room in 3-4 pulls.

Sleeper Build 24 or 28 guage kanthal a-1. Comes in at .3 ohms. It works well for me and thinking about bringing my Magma up to 1 ohm there abouts for flavor.

Did you intentionally position your center post like that? Or is your 510 screw loose?

No The center post spun as I tightened it down a second time. When I redo the coil I'll spin it until its in the right position.
