So a little while ago, I finally made the decision to buy a stabwood mod. I had been watching @vapesmarter and his work for a while now (on a different forum), and began talking to him about the process. He makes everything himself; stabwood block, faceplates, everything, which is just a nice touch.
It started with me deciding on the type of wood (I used another one of his mods for a reference, as I don't really know about this) as well as the colors. He insisted I not pay him until I approved a block, which I did the first block he made. After approval, he only wanted half of the asking price until the mod was finished and ready to ship.
When the mod arrived today, it was packaged in this lovely little wooden chest and came with a fancy looking letter, sealed with pressed wax, containing some instructions on caring for the wood and such, as well as a picture of his dog Alfie. Inside the chest was a nice leather pouch, a USB cord which also appears to be cased in leather (definitely the fanciest USB cord I own now), and a polishing cloth. Inside the leather pouch was the mod in question, which is absolutely stunning.
Tl;dr, Stu is great to work with, easy to buy from, and I have no complaints. 11/10 would recommend to anyone.
Cat pictures at the end because Stu is always showing Alfie off. This is Milkshake, who was sitting with me as I wrote this all up. He also likes the mod.
