First Ever Vertical Coils

Picked up an Aromamizer RDTA, first edition. I had never made vertical coils before. Loved building it, way easier to cut the leads once the first coil is in, and I fit wider coils than I could have fit horizontally. 3.5mm ID, 5 wraps, 22 gauge spaced. 0.19 ohms. Spaced the length of the posts. No room to spare. Took the AFC off for maximum air.

It's hitting like a dream. I might have to pick up one of the more recent renditions.

Could probably make the same build with 20 gauge in the larger Aromamizer. This build came to 0.19, so a 20 gauge should still clock in above 0.10

Made a fairly fat, twisted an end, pushed it in from the top, gently tweezed it down into the well and then tweezed it out of the well to make room to tweezed a bit more down. Then when ta decent amount was past the well, I cut the tightened part away and split the cotton into two sides. Gently pushed the cotton down on each side of the coil

Doubt I'm gonna rebuild this one for a while. This build is a winner

55.5 watts should last a whole day on a 2 battery mod

Not sure how much these pics will help. The main thing is pulling the cotton down through the coil. In order to avoid bending the coil, I would tweeze the cotton directly down through the coil, then lift the cotton I pulled down outside of the deck to make room to pull the cotton down again. I repeated that 5 times or so on each coil.

My coil spinner maxes out at 3.5ID, but I imagine I can fit even larger ID verticals on my larger decks like my TFV12. Could even pinch the coils to make them oval shaped and build even larger IDs

Cheers , was the same wanted to try vertical builds , using a dentist tool to help pull wicks down through center of coils and then spread out over decks , all Velocity supremes allow vertical builds , the Origen MKII is for vertical only builds

How is the TF-RDTA for vertical builds? It's only $10 at element vape. Or is the Aromamizer Supreme V2 that much better?

Actually the better question is what is the best rebuildable tank/deck for vertical coils? The TF-RDTA posts are somewhat short and I imagine the chamber would prevent tall building.

Supreme and Supreme v2 take the same postless and Velocity decks , the V2 has a grid like over Airflow so helps prevent spit back when using Vertical builds ,

It seems like the deck on the Aromamizer Supreme will allow a taller build than the Smok RDTA. Smok RDTA is much cheaper, but I think I won't be as happy with it.

That's really the only difference?
