First time Squonking and looking for a recommendation

Vape mail came today and I received a Dripbox 160. Cleaned it up and tried it out.

Umm

WOW!

Great flavor, I like it so much more than the Avocado I was using. I wish I had tried it sooner!

On to my question.....
I prefer the mellow feeling from a single coil build so I am thinking of getting a new deck for it. I have it narrowed down to these two
SXK Hadaly
SXK The Flave

Does anyone have experience with these and possibly have a recommendation between the two? If it helps I also vape at lower wattages, typically between 35-40 watts, and I prefer flavor to clouds.

I can tell you the SXK version of the Hadaly is a poor replica of the original. Look for the ShenRay version if you are going clone. Very nearly the real deal on that one

I second the recommendation of the Shenray Hadalay. Flipping the clamps can make trapping coils easier.

If you haven't seen it yet, look at the Wasp Nano as well. Very inexpensive single coil, easy to build on. Only thing I'd complain on it is it can get whistly of you close the air down.

I hate vaping on cotton...but the Wasp makes it almost enjoyable. it is really a good atty.

What do you mean by "flipping the clamps"? I have one and the clamps are a pita.

Another vote for the wasp, can provide a restricted hit but also has some major airflow if needed. Also it's an authentic for around 11$.

The clamps are beveled on the bottom.

Remove the screws, turn the clamps upside down so the bevel is on top and put the screws back in.

I'm seeing some mixed reviews online about the drip tip getting hot because of how close it is to the coil. Has this been an issue for you? If it has, were you able to wedge a 510 into it?

No wedge about it, the top is standard 510 sized.

Actually the first released caps were not a standard 510 and had to be drilled larger.

Not big on the yellow but I figured that the clear version would look yellow pretty quickly vaping my vanilla custard anyway

Can't say what you will get, since sometimes FT doesn't revise photos.
Chances are you will get the revised cap, as Cromwell stated.

I have not had any problems with the top getting to hot to vape. If that is a concern, you can always put a 510 drip tip on it.

Depends on how hard you suck on it for the most part.
The harder you suck the more likely to whistle.
also if you close down the air just a tad it reduces the likelihood of whistle.

Yep MIGHT whistle a bit but WORTH IT!

Well I admit that yes the Narda is a little adverse to build on. I do like it though for its lack of complexity. I saw you build dual coils on it. Not tried that yet myself, simply not gotten the gumpton up to get another round tuit, yes there are round tuits. A company by the handle of PB&J Creations manufacters round tuits. I like the single coil on the narda, figured how to Z coil a nice Clapton on it.

Tension is the crucial element. Then, I also lay a 'flavor wick' over top the coil going ooposing to the way the in coil wick goes. So it forms an X with wick to let you fill the well and keep the coil rather damp. This doesn't lend to over squonking, oddly it allows me to know when to squonk a little better.

Still intend on getting one or two Wasps. I'm sure if I don't like them, I'll know where send them.

Accidental anal dolphin sex is fine though. Lucy supplies Kotex for vaping wick, not these have any relationship at all. I simply type stream of thought at times.
