FIVE METALS, TOXIC AND POTENTIALLY CARCINOGENIC WHEN INHALED, FOUND IN LIQUID OF LEADING FIRST GENERATION E-CIGARETTE BRANDS

http://www.jhsph.edu/news/news-releases/2017/study-toxic-metals-found-in-e-cigarette-liquids.html

"The main source of the metals, the researchers believe, is the coil that heats the liquid that creates the aerosol, which is often but erroneously referred to as vapor. The study did not look at the possible presence of metals in e-cigarette aerosol."

Why didn't the study "look at the possible presence of metals in e-cigarette aerosol"???

Isn't that the important part???

“We do not know if these levels are dangerous, but their presence is troubling and could mean that the metals end up in the aerosol that e-cigarette users inhale,” says study leader Ana María Rule, PhD, MHS"

If you "do not know if these levels are dangerous" then why ring the fucking alarm about it?

Besides when are these scientists going to STOP studying cigalikes so WE can get some real toxicology data on the ACTUAL VAPING that 90+% of non dual users who use vaping to NOT smoke use?

Cigilikes are almost entirely used by dual users during times when they are unable to smoke.

Sure many of us may have started with cigilikes to give ecigs a shot but then quickly switched to at least a 2nd gen ego/mini protank type setup.

I can pretty much guarantee the reason that the eliquid in the cigilike has these metals in it because it sat inside the chamber against the coil for months on the shelf.

I can also pretty much guarantee that bottled eliquid (that vapers use) doesn't contain any of these metals because it hadn't been laying against kanthal and/or NiChrome since being packaged at Big Tobaccos cigilike facility. - 5150

From the article:
E-cigarettes may be less harmful than cigarettes for current smokers who switch completely to electronic cigarettes.
May? Kinda like gravity MAY accelerate you toward the ground at 9.8 m/s^2 if you jump off a cliff?

Yeah, it is, but it doesn't strike me as an unreasonable assumption that whatever is in the liquid is gonna end up in the aerosol at roughly comparable levels.

From the article:
We do not know if these levels are dangerous,
There's the curve ball. Modern analytical techniques are so good that they can detect substances at fractions of a part per billion. This means you can find almost anything you're looking for pretty much anywhere you look at some level and then claim that it's "troubling".

Exactlly if they looked at what is in the average drinking water of Americans it would be by their definition "troubeling"

Guessing if they looked hard enough, they could find traces of Fecal Matter.
