I've been dabbling with building my own wire and recently built a SS 316L 30/40 single core clapton. While I'm not sure it really behaves like a larger gauged clapton, it totally solves many of the low ohm issues I was having since I changed over to SS. I can now build a 2mm, 7 wraps coil that reads at .7ohms. Instant ramp-up, much easier to build with, popping flavor and good battery life. Yes!
