Flavor Shot Amount

Hi,

I've started to diy, about a month ago, generally blending around the 20% flavor mark, so far its going ok but its missing a little something, made me wonder, when ever I order juice I always order the extra flavor shot / or flavor boost option.

-Would that be like adding another 5 or 10% flavor to the mix?
-What total % flavor are you doing on average?

I'm using Flavour Art, TPA and some Capella

I use mainly FlavorArt, mostly at 5-6% and never above 8%! If I need an extra flavor shot from say 6% I go up to 8% Many flavors will take on a funky perfumed taste if you go too high.

IMHO, if you are ordering E-Liquids from a website and you have the option of adding flavor shots that is BS.

You should be getting a full flavored liquid to begin with and not have to pay extra for it!

i always assumed they had a premade flavor base so using that assumption i guess 15% would be their norm and 20% would be extra? not really sure how that goes really just an assumption. diy gives us the ability to make a flavor without flavor shots so i would suggest playing around with the percentages until you feel they are right for you

depends on your recipe, and what's in it..
some people write out by percents.. like 2%

in order to do something like a "flavor shot", you'd have to make up a bottle of flavoring, so to say, and use the percentage out of it..

here is an example of the percentage and will convert it to a "flavor shot"..

5% Strawberry Ripe tpa
4% Custard cap
1% Caramel Original tpa

now for the flavor shot style:

10ml bottle

fill with:
50% Strawberry Ripe tpa
40% Custard cap
10% Caramel Original

now.. you take a percentage of that, lets say.. 10% for flavoring..
if you want to "give a shot" then go 15%, for an extra or 3rd shot, 20% and so on.

that is how one could make them.

This is funny. I made almost this EXACT recipe the other day. Switch the ripe for regular, and the original for candy.
