Thank you. Now I remember. Actually on my list for for as soon as I can get hold of that NF Ginger down here in South Africa.

I have plenty Matthee as I bought in bulk to make postage worth while from NF. Their shipping prices are ludicrous. Happy to sell you 30ml if you need some. Postage from Australia will be cheaper than from NF

Nature's Flavors charges so much for shipping, you figure it's a mistake when you first see the total. By the time it arrives, seasons have changed. So frustrating! But some of their flavors are irreplaceable...

Using bits and pieces from, and in the spirit of this thread:

Lemon Cheesecake
TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust 2.00%
FA Lemon Sicily 2.00%
FA Vienna Cream 1.00%
FA Lime Cold Pressed 0.50%
10% Citric Acid 0.25%

Nice fresh, might add some more lemon next mix ;)

ETA: yes, Lemon Sicily @ 3% is much better :D

What up FA people? Is this thread finally dying?

Anyway, I have been enjoying a new recipe, figured I'd share.

Big Fig is the warm gooey center to a fig almond tart with a splash of citrus to brighten things up.

Big Fig
3 parts Fresh Fig
2 parts Vanilla Bourbon
1 part Marzipan
1 part Grapefruit

all FA

AWRIGHT DAMN IT!!! :D

Just placed a HUGE DIY order, 98% FA for flavorings. I have coming in:
everything to make RocketPuppy's RY4
everything to make HeadInClouds's braune pfeffernusse

PLUS:
Fuji
Forest fruit blend
Custard
Apple pie
Desert ship
Black for pipe (inw)
Dark for pipe (inw)
Elder captain (hs).

I'm certain I have something coming in I forgot, but there's what I remember for right now. Gonna make some tasty vapes ;)

OK been mixing like a mad man :D. Found this using my google-fu: http://vapingunderground.com/threads/apple-pie-and-custard.126736/. It's really good as is, but I decided to play a bit with it as well. I have 30ml I added .5% cinnamon Ceylon to, 30ml I added .5% brandy too, and 30ml I swapped the Fuji out for forest fruit, and added .5% brandy to. All 3 are really good, but I think I can turn this in to something AMAZING.

My FA bilberry doesn't really taste like bilberry and it's very very strong, even 0.25% can overpower all other flavours. Is this just me? Is it possible i got a bad batch?

Billberry's definitely a strong one. I generally use a cream to back it up, so to speak. IIRC my last billberry mix was:

1% FA billberry
2% or 2.5% FA Vienna cream.

I've since ran out, but that was a pretty tasty vape.

See UK Flavour Art have a new concentrate "Polar Blast" which is a coolant without menthol. Anybody anywhere tried this at all? I always hated Koolada and ANise didnt really work for me either in that way

I did
0.5% Bilberry
4.0% Vienna cream
0.5% Marzipan
Makes a really sweet bilberry cream. It's a good break from my addiction to custards..

Only "coolant" sans menthol I ever heard of was from HiLiq. I hear it's highly concentrated. I can't tolerate koolada in the least, it makes me cough uncontrollably. Let us know if you give it a go.

Little something I'm working on:

Custard 2%
Vienna cream 1%
vanilla bourbon 1%
black pepper 1%

Might need to back off the black pepper a bit, that or bump the custard and vanilla up some. Pretty tasty tho!

The black pepper calms down after a day or two, and it's smooth and spicy. I need to bump up something tho, can't put my finger on it. FWIW I also have a variation using caramel in place of the vanilla, and it's good too!

Maybe add a little Nonna's :p I like that stuff.

I don't know why I've never picked up any black pepper. I bet it would be good with the right tobacco.

I always thought it'd be good in a tobacco, but I don't vape those. If you decide to get it, I'd get a small sample size, like maybe at Wizard Labs if they have that flavor. A 10ml bottle would last the average vaper a lifetime. It's soooooo strong, but like Kingboomer said, it'll calm down some. I've even dipped a toothpick in the flavoring, then swirled it around in a finished mix and could taste it just fine.

Haven't heard of that one at all. FA makes an espresso flavor and a cappuccino. There's another newish one has something to do with cereal, I can't remember but I'll go look it up real quick.

Just a quick question @HeadInClouds is there a maximun shelf life to your recipes? And by that i mainly mean shorter then 2 months, where flavor would change or fade to hard

There are 3 things that degrade flavorings (and nic!) over time: heat, light, and oxygen. The extent to which you limit those factors will slow the inevitable flavor change of your mixes. If any single ingredient in a mix breaks down & changes flavor, the flavor of the whole mix is wrecked. So keeping your finished mix dark, cool, and well-sealed is the best we can do. We can also buy nic & flavorings from vendors that have fresh stock, of course, and don't let them sit around in heat/sun to degrade. So the short answer is, it depends a lot on your supplies and habits.

Thx for the reply.
Think i will use smaller bottles so i get less oxygen in there

OK, new experiment that I'm enjoying:
3% Custard
1.5% Cardamom
1% Fuji
.5% black pepper

All FA. I purposely kept the Fuji low since it's pretty powerful. It's there, but not in your face. Blends nicely with the cardamom and the black pepper rounds out the whole thing.

-Kingboomer

EDIT: I did try this without the black pepper and it's good that way too. I'm certain you could cut this in half also if you want.

Virginia really isn't a favorite of mine, I like it best as an addition in a blend. I know a lot of people like it with just some AP added, but I've never tried it. I only use it as the main flavor in one recipe. It's a modified version of @we2rcool's English Blend(virginia 1.8, latakia .6, desert ship .6) it's very smooth, realistic tobacco but kinda plane to me. So.. yeah, Latakia gives you a kinda dark smokey note with a bright ?bitter? note and Virginia covers the middle ground.

I call my modified version Virginia Special. It takes a six week steep for it to get right with me.

Virginia 2%
Latakia 1%
Desert Ship 0.5%
Black Fire 0.5%
This is very good too, especially with a bit of ageing. Thanks mate ;)

I need to revisit that one it's been a while... Glad your enjoying it :)

If your liking the Latakia you should try it with some Cuban Supreme ;)

I love tobacco flavors ~90% of what I vape. These days I rarely mix things the same way more than once or twice:crazy:

White Truffle? (fyi, the fungus, not candy) and Saffron? hmm, oooo....kay. Dang, you know what I was hoping for, lol!

I wish I had searched this thread before adding FA's White Truffle to my most recent BCF order. I was thinking it was the candy/chocolate. Opened the bottle to give a whiff, and now I'm terrified of making a test sample! lol

Not much information on it on ELR...has anyone actually tried this flavor out in any recipes? I need to find some courage!

Nope, but I heard about it before, mushroom flavor, no thanks.
The name is kind-of misleading for sure tho.
In case you haven't heard, stay away from FA Bread Crust too:eek:.

haha, thanks, I've heard mention of it, but think I'll take your advice!

The only one that's happy that I've added WT to my collection is my bottle of Joy, since it'll no longer be the most detested flavor I've got. lol
