so i've been making juice for awhile, and i figured i'd drop a few links for people who want to get into it.

you dont /have/ to use this site, this is just my preferred supplier.

    PG- http://wizardlabs.us/index.php?route=product/category&path=83_69
the nic/flavoring are all PG based, so keep that in mind. i usually buy a 120 mil bottle of PG for every gallon of VG, since i /rarely/ us it.

    VG- http://wizardlabs.us/index.php?route=product/category&path=83_70
If you're intent on making your own juice, i'd buy the gallon, its only 26$ and it will last you ages.

    nicotine - http://wizardlabs.us/index.php?route=product/product&path=83_60_65&product_id=77
i buy 100 mg per ML because its the best value, and i feel it dilutes the flavor the least. but please be VERY careful, spend a few bucks to buy 1 ML syringes and measure carefully. i use about .9 ML per 30 mil bottle of juice. ( 3 mg's nic) I'd also highly recommend picking up a big box of rubber gloves, because nicotine will absorb through your skin.

    Syringes- http://wizardlabs.us/index.php?route=product/category&path=71_73
id reccomend buying a pack of 1 ML, 20 ML, and 10 ML. since you'll be using them most, 1 ML for the nicotine, 20 ML for the PG/VG, and 10 ML for your flavoring.

    Bottles- http://wizardlabs.us/index.php?route=product/product&path=71_75&product_id=126
30 Mil is my preffered, but you can also get 10, 15, and 50.

    Flavoring - http://wizardlabs.us/index.php?route=product/category&path=79
I'd recommend buying a handfull of 30 mil bottles to try flavors, then going larger once you find some you like.

Now I've got a simple chart i use for my juice. it comes out to be roughly 80VG/20PG mind you this is for 3 Mg of nicotine in a 30 mil bottle.

    .9 ML nicotine ( 100 MG/ML as linked)
6 ML of flavoring total, mixing flavors as needed.
23 ML of VG (put the BG in a warm place, or be prepared to spend a lot of time holding the plunger, as it is VERY thick and doesnt like to flow when room temperature.

http://www.todmuller.com/ejuice/ejuice.php is a nice site to use to get a good mixing ratio, i like it as its simple to use.

all together, my juice costs roughly 2.38 cents (US) to make.

If you have any questions, feel free to comment, i'm 100% happy to help were i can.making your own juice is a nice way to save money, make flavors perfect for you, and just a fun little hobby.

PS, if you want to label your Ejuice, i use the AVERY labels sold at walmart, i've even made my own little design with the PG/VG, nic, name, and date.

Stay safe, stay cigarette free, and stay happy.

You are buying all your stuff at wizard labs.

Most of us that have been doing DIY for awhile, shop around. Were I going to use only ONE place, it would be ECX. But that would not be a great price for me either.

A 30 mil doesn't cost me a dollar to make, just saying.

I don't mean to come off like a dick, but your overall suggestions are only half assed helpful to a new DIYer. The only thing I'd buy from wizard is Seedman Captain flavoring. But I can buy it cheaper from Seedman directly, for a FRACTION of the cost.

ALL of Wizards supplies are more expensive than every where else. Those syringes can be bought at a farm store, or even buy a whole box, for less than half of Wizards absorbent markup.

If that's where you want to buy from, that's fine. I would NOT recommend it to others new to DIY though.
You also suggest they mix at 20% flavors. Not a good idea. Most mixes are FAR from that. Mine are usually under 10%. Very few creep to 20%.

There already exists a thread for newbies. And the folks with MUCH experience under their mixing belts, have contributed to it. Again, not trying to be a dick, but maybe you should get more experience under YOUR belt before making suggestions like this.

You're OK, @Fyari. Ass Freemind says, he's not trying to be a dick. Hell, he doesn't have to.

Sure, everybody has favorite vendors and it was nice that you'd share your own. You'll also discover (and in short order, I'm guessing), that mixing by weight is very popular and those who do so are extremely enthusiastic, even zealous about it.

    Vape on!

Actually you are paying damned near triple on some things.
Sure the site layout is kind of OK but have found a weird glitch that no matter what flavors I order it is always seriously fucked up. Only half from the current order and a whole bunch of shit I ordered previously.

The last foul up of wizards was the final straw for me, the lack of customer support sealed it.

Ive had good luck in drop counting.... ive the supplies, the scale to do other means... but my laziness and overall satisfaction has got me stuck counting drops... i even got a drops per ml system i use depending if its caps or fa or whatever ive never used wl though.. still looks like a decent list, anyone smart should do research and look around anyway.

Frankly, I wouldn't recommend 'buying a handfull of 30 mil bottles to try flavors, then going larger once you find some you like' to persons just getting started in DIY, especially when WizardLabs has 8ml vials available for 1.49$. If you end up not liking a flavor, and trust me you will find that to be the case more often than you might think, you haven't wasted 22 mls of flavoring and the extra money it cost to purchase that amount.

I tried that using droppers >_> but i sell a lot of juice, so its easier to just make a line up of bottles and use a big needle to do a dozen at a time

I've never had an issue with them, and i've prolly ordered 2000$ worth of product from them in the last couple years o.o and again, im fine paying more, I'm far from hurting money-wise, but if you want to drop a few links i wouldn't argue, im mostly peeking around for new flavors.

Skeene, I have to disagree with 8ml bottles suggestion, because you'd be constantly filling/emptying/washing them. You can mix any amount (up to 32ml) in a 30ml bottle. ANY small variation in an 8ml recipe (a couple of drops too many/too few) may ceate a completely different flavor profile which could either be terrible, or wonderful butimpossible to replicate. Personally, I make 10-15ml test batches so I have some successful recipes to vape until steep. Experience has taught me that waiting for my new favorite flavor to steep SUCKS! I use fifty 30ml glass bottles that are the right amount for me and my wife. I buy disposable plastic bottles for friends who buy my liquids, so they're not all over the place, and label with Magic Tape to keep costs low. I'm no expert, but this works for me!)

I think NGAHaze was talking about their 8ml bottles of flavoring. But yeah, 8ml of actual juice is just gonna make me mad....lol!

Exactly. I was referring to flavoring bottles as opposed to empties.

:v i dont know what yall put in your juice, but i usually use 7-9 mills a bottle, so an 8 mil bottle would'nt be near enough for me to test a flavor lol

He was referring to the 8ml bottles of flavoring that we use to make our ejuice. Wizard Labs sells flavoring in 8ml bottles. We extract the desired amount of flavoring from the 8ml bottle and add it to the desired ratio of propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin and nicotine in a larger receptacle, then we stir it all together and pour it into the appropriate sized bottle for the entire volume of fluid produced.
At least that's how we poor peasants do it, I don't know what Y'ALL put in yours....

What's your brand, bro? I'll buy some juice off of you. I want to vape some popular shit. I'll pay shipping and all.

Yeah, not all of us were born with a silver spoon in our mouths.

    Hence why we DIY.

Why do you reuse bottles, if your income level is so high and you think it's cool to just throw out all your shit?

Just a word of advice; not all of us are peasants, but I haven't saw many of us flaunt our income levels. I've lived on both sides of the track, I just ain't ever lived in the Hamptons.

If you're wanting to give advice or information; tailor it to a specific audience.

Make sure your advice/info is sound.

I thought you didn't put in very much work in your OP. It seemed very lazy to me. Buying everything off of one site is convenient, but not necessarily the best option; price-wise.

By the way; the link that @Teresa P posted (the newb DIY guide) is pretty well done and should be consulted by everyone.

I've read it and reread it; when I need a refresher. I'm a newb to juice making, but not to DIY.

7-9ml's of completed juice? Of flavours? Of base? Of what?

If it's completed juice, 8ml is in between 7 (which would fit) and 9ml (which is only 1ml too much).

Quoted for truth. That was my exact reaction while reading this thread.

Didn't you just start drinking? (Legal age; 21-unless I'm mistaken?) Ours is 18.

    ^Exactly this.

@Fyari ; if I seem to be harsh or an "asshole", it's only because I am and I can be; at times.

Generally, I'm a pretty easy going guy and easy to get along with.

Everyone here on VU, are immensely helpful and very considerate (at least in the DIY section-I haven't left since I started lurking a few months ago).

I hope you gleaned a few helpful tips from me and from others, who have posted here, on your thread.

    Good luck, kid.

Well, I'd be down with that. We could chuck some pretty wicked clouds.

I got a recipe I made, just a few minutes ago. I just decided to wing it; it came out awesome. ALL the FLAVOUR, NONE of the CARBS! (perfect for mah diabeetus)

I've never bought less than a 4oz bottle of flavoring. While it's true, a person might not like a flavoring stand alone, and I have some, it's pretty common for them to work well in a recipe. I don't throw them out and do use them.

The overall cost savings for larger amounts over reordering 'test' flavors is still significant. And I'm a cheap bastard.

I'd most certainly tell noobs to buy larger(30ml or more) flavorings.

Perhaps it does make sense if you consume large quantities of juice and/or you also mix for friends and family.

For my purposes however, and I suspect others as well, the potency of the flavorings would dissipate significantly before I managed to get through that amount. I personally prefer to use fresh flavors as much as possible and with the stated shelf life on the majority of them being only 6 to 12 months, especially on flavors I have no idea whether I will like or not, it just doesn't make sense to me.

I can always buy more later if I find that I do like a particular flavor.

Yeah, I generally get a 3-10ml size to start. If it gets used frequently, I'll bump to 30ml. If that goes fast, I go to 120ml. I have only 3 120mls.

Some of my best steep bottles are 120ml and from a scotch sampler I bought years ago.
Egg sized and perfect for rolling between hands instead of shaking them up.

With the killer prices on 60ml they have at Nicotine River, I've started "collecting" more of the ones I like to keep in the freezer.

I only mix for myself and only vape 5ml a day.

If I was selling flavoring for a living, I'd put a shelf life on it. Just sayin". I've seen very very few complaints of flavoring going bad. None of mine have.

I can only explain what the cheapest route is overall. Even if a person finds he/she doesn't like one flavor, they've saved money if they bought the larger amount over the 8ml bottles because they have to reorder all of the ones they did like. In other words, the $1.49 is wasted for all the flavors that have to be reordered + shipping in many cases. And it's nice to have the flavor they didn't like on hand so that if a recipe that looks good uses that flavor, you still have it. Or, they can sell it, PIF it, or toss it. The money saved by skipping the 8ml bottles will more than make up for it.

I have confidence that your logic is sound, @Time, but I can't afford to save that much money.

I'm stuck (willingly) in a cycle of noting flavors I'm missing for particular recipes, then filling in the gaps. Add to that myriad new tobacco flavorings (several absolutes alone!) and the fact that this is an addiction that requires regular feeding and I'll have to make do with smaller doses. I've gotta admit, though, the home run flavorings in big bottles from NR do give me quite a rush. :D

:v yes i only recently turned 21, but i've lived alone since my father died in june, and being as this is now my house, i can drink at any age i please.

i re use bottles because i dont feel like ordering them and waiting a week to get them, im impatient.

And i use 9 mils of flavoring more often that not.

Also, i wasnt born with a silver spoon :v i work a 7 am to 2 pm job, then a second 3 pm to 10/11 pm job. After finding a body in your house, you try to stay busy yaknow? But hey, my few posts on this site have been met with basically " i can do it better" and general assholedness, so i think imma just go back to smoking. Y'all have a great time shunning people who arent as "advanced" as you seem to think you are. Tho my time here has really helped me understand why people think vapers are a bunch of stuck up cunts, so hey, learned something new. so not a total loss?

    TL/DR
Salty, gonna go have a smoke, GGimout.

And I'm sure that holds true for most of the hobbyists. I certainly spend differently on horses than a family that just likes to ride in the pasture a few times a year. I certainly wouldn't recommend that they do things the way I do just because I do it. Not that you do.:)

If you enjoy vaping and making your own juice, just continue. Relax and diy your way and vape your way. Don't let strangers on the internet run you off from vaping. On the other hand, if you needed a reason to smoke again, run with it and go back to smoking.

Well, to me, anything that sounds too good to be true usually is. Since they've already more than doubled their prices on Flavorah, I keep watching for the same to happen with the rest. Get 'em while they're hot is what I'm thinking. ;)

Just an observation, but if OP "sells a lot of juice" I'd think he'd have his costs down to a science and always be looking for the better deal, which Wizard Labs sure ain't. No knock to anyone who shops there, but if I'm going through a liter or two of juice a week (I don't sell very much juice), shaving even a fraction of a cent off my per-ml cost isn't insignificant.
