Im not so sure if I would agree with the last part of that. I still think some of the most gorgeous mechmods come out of the phillipines. Italian modders also make some gorgeous pieces of art.

As soon as I saw that dam cork tube mod(mech thread) I was ready to journey back into mechs.
Then I saw the price was like 2 digits off my phone number.
I can't justify the prices of higher end mechmods.
Back when the stingray x was all the rage; and, cost over 300$, I was drooling over it. I wanted the black and copper one. But, my shop owner friend called me up one day; because one of the regulars was looking to trade off his titanium/copper version. I got lucky and was able to trade an RDA and 80$ for the mod. The only other pieces I have from the phillipines is a copper overdose and stainless 4nine that I picked up when Hyperion vape was going out of business. I paid 40 each for them. The overdose still sells for close to 300$. I won't drop the kind of cash some people do on mods. I try and stick to things that I know can withstand the fact that I always drop shit, but I try to be practical.
Deals are out there, you just have to be patient and look.
I know you were looking for a mech not long ago, subohm innovations was selling their blems starting around 50$. They are normally between 150-300$ depending on finish. I grabbed a copper which was the cheapest they have. You really can't go wrong with them. Great build quality and really low voltage drop. The switch in those is absolutely stellar.
