And, how does the mugs break down vape per vape? How many puffs should it take to feel the nicotine, how often do you puff another vape? Or do you just have a vape session like a cigg?

I vape like I smoke....or am I supposed to puff a couple of times and then no more?
Trying to wrap my head around nic mgs and the correct way...
Maybe I'm just making to much of nothing...
I agree if the mgs are too low I vape even more....and I constantly feel like I'm vaping while I'm home, where as work I can't. So when I work I put 12 or 18 mgs in my aspire mini....where as home I have a 3 or 6 in my sub tank.
I like the eleaf at work, it's a lot more compact where the Joytech is bigger.
I love the temp control on the Joytech it's kind of big and heavy in my hand for driving and working...

My sister has migraines.....she is rather nicotene sensitive
and found too much nic increased the severity of her headache.. Not enough and she craved a cigarette... I introduced her to vaping about a year ago...she didn't like my cloud blowing RDA's ...that said she wound up with a Provari V2/Nautilus but switched up to the STM recently... She is using the 1.2 occ at about 4.2v with 7mg of nicotine...its enough she's satisfied, but not too much to cause a headache...
Now to how many puffs does it take? I can't answer that for my sister.. she's a tootle puffer (MTL)
But speaking for myself I'm a lung hitter, and vaping 5mgs of nic in any of my subtanks I'm satisfied in two or three deep pulls...good for about an hour and hit it again...lol

That was a bad moment with the Winston, I thought I was finished with them......I was just craving so hard......I'll get there....I'm gonna keep trying.....I've mixed a 12 and 6 together and so far it's working....I feel satisfied with the nic...and sometimes I wonder if bottles are mislabeled...

I really want to d.i.y. But scared....it seems a bit imtimdating...

DIY is really really simple. It just seems complicated to start. And the math may complicate things to start. But there is way too much material AND help here, to be afraid of it.

I just switched to DIY by weight. And I could kick myself for not doing it sooner. I can mix small or large quantities now, with much less mess and far less math. Especially if I already have the recipe.

The start up cost isn't too high, especially if you start small. To offer you a cost comparison. I just finished making 2 liters of juice. That's roughly 67 - 30ml bottles. My TOTAL expense this week for THAT juice was less than $100, that includes the cost of my new scale.

Do the math

Your mileage may vary, depending on your choices in flavors. But you can get samples very cheap too.

You can do DIY and coil building easily. But I would only take on one at a time, to reduce the frustration level. Building on a small deck can quickly spiral into frustration lol

I simply vape when I feel like it. My unit has a hit counter on it, and I do look at it toward the end of the day. I hit it between 550-700 times a day, a typical day for me is 14 - 18 hours long.

No two systems deliver nicotine in the same amount. So your use will vary between the two. Just vape what you need, let your body determine what you need.

I would try to refrain from increasing while at work, if quitting or significantly reducing your nic dependence is the goal. Otherwise, just do what works for best you. None of us have the same needs or goals.

You might like a smaller mod like this little power packed 75w IPVD2..has TC too..its also my favorite mod I take down to the casino..fits easily in a shirt pocket, always at the ready...seen here with the Maganus subtank..just a thought ...

@bama88 Hey Bama! RTR! I have suffered with migraines since I was a teenager. For the most part they are controlled now, but I do notice that when I started vaping (24mg) I would tend to get HA's late in the day! I started gradually reducing my nic and am now down to 4-5mg (I DIY). Very seldom do I get a "vape" HA now. When I do, a couple of Excedrine seems to do the trick, as long as I take it soon enough. I think the little amount of caffeine in Excedrine is what helps, so maybe a cup of tea or coffee would do the same thing. Just my experience. Good Luck!

Thanks guys, ok.....the headache stayed away for most of the day.....great news,
I think I vape way way too much....today I really really tried to limit myself, with the nic....
And because I smoked so heavy for 20 years I loaded up a pen with zero nic in case I just wanted to vape to satisfy my oral fixation, it worked.....
Now if I can learn to control my oral fixation I'll be ok..
Part of the problem is the vape juice is too damn tasty...I mean it's awesome. I can't believe how good it tastes so I just keep vaping and vaping, then give myself headaches....I think. I vape like a crazy woman...lol. But I know it's gotta be better than smoking 40 plus ciggerattes a day....

And I can finally TASTE THINGS...I've gained 10 pounds in two months...geez, I'm headed to the gym asap, I just had a knee scope too july 23 so I've been recovering.....

I really really appreciate the time everyone has taken to give me .....thanks so much.....
There is such a learning curve with this. And let's face it, vape juice tastes 1000 times better than ciggerates it's easy to get carried away..

I'm not planning on stopping nicotine nope....I just wanted to stop smoking...

I think you're going to have to reduce that Nic level, like it or not. Just my thoughts.

It's a proven fact, you can't get overdose symptoms on 0mg juice. And you can vape as much as you can afford.

Yeah...I had loaded a pen with 0 and was good.....got settled for the night and fired up a 6 and poof.....
I just don't understand when I smoked 2 packs of winstons ......doesn't make sense....I know I have issues with pg, maybe my juice is mislabeled? I'm gonna learn to d.i.y overnight.

Another thing I just thought of, I changed juice makers and this mess started up.....gonna go back to some older juice maker I have tomorrow and try something new....I could be having a reaction to something in the flavor or their stuff...again another reason to diy.

The new mods are very effective at delivery of nicotine. In terms of time, I dropped VERY fast in my Nic levels.
There are other things that can cause headaches. But cutting your Nic is the easiest to check, and the least costly.

Ok, I thinks it's solved. I dropped to 3mgs...and stayed there for the day yesterday.
Didn't jump around in the nic.
Didn't get a headache.
Was a bit jonesy for a smoke but vaped thru it...
And went to doc, have sinus infection.

It was awful....
I was popping so many motrins I was worried bout my tummy. And I have been sniffiley and a lot of pressure around eyes and nose. But the headaches were brutal.
What's weird strange and interesting is I'm all the way down to a 3 and son is still at 12 and 18. I notice he doesn't vape nearly as much as me...but hey I'm breaking a huge ciggeratte habit.
Now if I could get rid of the morning coughing fit. I hope that will eventually go away.

So, here's a good morning story....fuzzy was sleeping outside on the porch the first night he came because son didn't bring a liter box....and the neighbors cat I think assaulted him....he was ambushed. I heard the fight and went outside to try to distract the fight....I lost sight and sound of Fuzzy. Fuzzy ran away. I called and called all day cause I'm still home recovering from knee surgery. No cat. Son comes home and we go looking for cat in neighborhood. Son is walked thru woods sees fuzzy on neighbors porch. We go and get fuzzy.
My sons says...mom this isn't fuzzy...I say yes it is. Cat looks just like yours. Ok, tell you what son, if this cat is yours, keep shaking the food and if he follows us to the car and get in....it's your cat....
Cat follows us.
Cat comes with us.
Later that night.....fuzzy shows up. Shoot, we've got another one that looks exactly alike.
I take the neighbors cat home......

Here's been my experience so far. I've been vaping for almost a year, minus the couple months I gave it up out of frustration. I started at 12mg and went up to 18. Different levels of pg/vg but the highest I had went was 80vg. The nic hit was very intermittent for me at best. For a point of reference, I am using a very simple device atm. It is a simple twist battery with a 510 threaded 6ml pyrex tank and disposable 1.8 ohm single bottom coils. I'm getting ready to switch to a mech mod, but right now I'm still using then pen. So recently, I was given some 100%vg 3mg. I was given it for when I start dripping, but I decided to try some in my tank because I was very curious about the flavor (red liquorice). I didn't expect the 100% vg to run smoothly with a disposable coil. I figured I'd get a couple hits in, at least get an idea of the taste, the coil would probably clog and that would be that. I also didn't expect much of a nic hit, coming down to 3mg from 18. To my extremely pleasant surprise, the 100% vg runs very well in my tank. The nic hit is also incredible. I've been vaping this stuff for the past three days, and not once have I not gotten a good nic hit. In fact, when I was on the 18, I was vaping very heavily trying to get a good nic hit, to the point if would often make my stomach hurt. Since switching to the 3mg, I find myself taking a few puffs and putting it down for a minute or two before taking a few more puffs. In my opinion, pg is highly over rated. The only thing pg really does is carry flavor a little better than vg. Vg produces much denser vapor, which will contain more nicotine in each molecule than pg, which does not produce as dense of a vapor. If you want clouds, switch to a 3mg or 6mg 100% vg and you will get much bigger clouds and also I bet you will enjoy the nic hit much more.

Thanks bean, I agree with you.....when I first started vaping the pg really messed with me. Gave me some weird kind of aftertaste acid reflux, yuck......so out of curiosity I ordered a 80/20 VG pg mix......what a huge difference it made.
I chain vape cause the flavors are so good.....I kept giving myself a headache. Now I'm running a 3 mg nic and no more headaches and I can vape to hearts content. I do still run 12 in nautilus because that's my take around devise and I can't vape as much at work and need the nic hit....I'm a banker with a high stress job. And if I'm lucky I get to take a break.....some days are slammed. And I deal with people and money...high voltage emotions when they mess up and want to blame bank....or I got to say no to loans.....I hate that... Anyways tmi on me....
I'm keeping the 12 for work. And I can run to bathroom and vape. Yes, I've had to do it.

That is awesome whiskey.....as me I used to show dogs when I was a youngling.....I had an awesome German Shepard who was spectacular at obstacle course and a cocker who loved to win ribbons, but I got married and had kids....my shih tszo does nothing of the sort. He wouldn't make it on obstacle course. Nope. Too lazy and as far as show dog, he's a big boy 16 pounds and not fat just big....and will not let you primp him. He hates being groomed to the point of sedation....doggie xanex. Vet gives him because he get scared and wild. The cat is crying for sons girlfriend. It's sad.

That's a great idea, I could mix some of my 18 with 12.....
My question also is this, if I have the right nicotine level will that control the need to constantly vape or is that part of vaping? I see the guys at the vape store chain vaping so is that normal? The vapor drives my husband nut...so I use the mini around him....when I want clouds with sub ohm I go outside...

I routinely vape 24mg in my subohm tanks, with 0.2 ohm coils. Yes, you can put 12 in your subohm tank.

Remember that nicotine leaves the system quickly--like 12 minutes quickly. There's no reason you can't vape continuously, if you need/want to.

And both PG and VG are VERY dehydrating. I get headaches if I don't get enough fluids. (Which is hard for me, as I have bladder cancer that causes incontinence and more fluids in means more accidents. LOL)
