How to disassemble Purge Mod Button?

I have a purge mod clone(speak no evil) and sat it in something nasty and now the buttons all gummed up. I cannot figure out how to get the damn thing apart and have spent the better part of two hours trying to do so.

Anyone had the pleasure of doing this yet?

It's easy. Just unscrew the bottom part from the button... the engraving on it should give enough grip for that, but sometimes it's easier to do if you hold down the firing pin. If you are using the magnets, be careful with them because their magnetic force is so extreme that, if they bump into eachother, they can actually break. Removing the firing pin after that will literally speak for itself.

Much appreciated. I figured there was a trick to it and thought there was a special tool required because of how the button is recessed. I was making tools to try and get it apart. Guess I threw k.i.s.s. out the window on this one.
