Yes they are clueless. If there is a big increase in teens vaping there is also a big decrease in them smoking cigarettes. Though I would like them not to start either, I prefer them vaping over cigarettes.

If last year you had one teen using an E-Cig and then this year you had three teens vaping, percentage wise that would be a big increase.

Asshats.

WTF koolaid drinker
Not heard this type of reaction on this:
Interesting CDC report 2013 http://www.cdc.gov/alcohol/fact-sheets/underage-drinking.htm
Alcohol is the most commonly used and abused drug among youth in the United States, more than TOBACCO and illicit drugs, and is responsible for more than 4,300 annual deaths among underage youth

I get how they get the numbers and it's real fucking shady.

This year 2012 they poll all the 9th graders and ask them if the ever, even if it's just one puff tried vaping.

50 kids say yes.

Next year 2013 they poll all the 9th graders and ask them if the ever, even if it's just one puff tried vaping.

50 more say yes

Next year 2014 they poll all the 9th graders and ask them if the ever, even if it's just one puff tried vaping.

50 more say yes

Next year 2015 they poll all the 9th graders and ask them if the ever, even if it's just one puff tried vaping.

50 more say yes

They count the previous kids that said yes because they are still in High School the 1st 2012 9th graders are Seniors, the 2013 are now Juniors, etc...

They get to say that teen vaping has QUADRUPLED in only 4 years!

The CDC are the worst of the fucking scumbag liers.

Tom Frieden should not only be fired he should be brought up on criminal charges.

In the CDC-FDA E-Cigarette Study, “Probably Not” Is the New “Yes”

"Another major worry is how e-cigarettes will interact with conventional tobacco use. They could hook kids who go on to smoke them in conjunction with traditional cigarettes and other sorts of tobacco products. Or kids could graduate to smoking deadly conventional cigarettes exclusively. Public health researchers are still figuring out how these dynamics will play out."

Kids may be stupid sometimes, but I have yet to hear of a teen who vapes switching to cigarettes or dipping tobacco. The author is just a clueless buffoon who is either knowingly or unknowingly stumping for Big Tobacco.

You better believe that when they do find that one kid who started vaping and switched to smoking they will parade him/her around like that terri woman that they followed to death for 20 years.
